what if customer ask twin engin in JF17 are we going to make 2engin jf17... important part is that this aircraft is for our defence and unfortunatily we cant produce engins changing airframe is not a huge issue customers view all these small stuff add few more million and but better one..
i think we sud make this aircraft fully indeginious and prove to world that this aircraft is no less than anything. then customers will be intrested..
why dont we explore new markets like arabs and south americas?

Dual seat why we dont need it ,I dont see any issue inducting a platform which has similar avionics ,engine ,air frame components only two seats ,regarding capability there is going to be a dorsal spine in the dual seat for additional fuel+ gadgets ,so dual seat is going to be quite formidable ,Why we dont need it I cant answer this since there isnt any single fuel we have tried on . F17B deserves a case study (Blunder Thunder B)

JF17B's capabilities would be 50% less as compared to single seater so initially they decided to start production without dual seat but customers want dual seater also but we don't need the dual seater.

Sir i am not expert if you can ask about tanks and armoured things i can give you my opinion. Sorry if i messed up something.

because engine would be the same, fuel quantity same extra load extra cockpit with pilot will reduce the efficiency of load carrying.

Thank you---actually all those aircaft that you mentioned---they do have dual seaters---.

Now just think about it----we have the mirages that are dual seaters---we have the F7 and F17's that are dual seaters---and they are not trainer but combat aicraft---full fledged combat aircraft that are also used as trainer---and we did not have one in the JF17----.

Adding a dual seater will not reduce the utility by 50 %---but would keep it similar.

Just one question to clear myself what about additional weight ? did it ipact on weapon, fuel carrying capacity or not since enigine would be the same.

Hi,,

F16 has dual seat version---and we have them.

The effect on the aircraft due to added weight would be marginal---the engine is the same and there are no issues with the power output----.

The single seat can carry upto 4500KG----. Now if the dual seater can carry 4000 KG---that is a good load---both the single seater and dual seaters have their utility.

You---in pak military---you have a 3 person tank crew---but in the U S tanks---it is a 4 person crew---. Does the weight of the extra person effect the operation of the tank---no--=-but the u s military thinks that 4 is an optimal crew and 3 is one less.

Now you have to remember that every thing is in relation to something else---in weapons---. We retired our strike aircraft the A5 Fantan the ones that the JF17 replaced---that miserable thing could only carry 2000 KG weight.

The JF17 single seater or the dual seater---for the size that it is---if it gets the right avionics package---upto date high off bore sight missiles and the upcoming PL15's---syandoff weapons is a deadly aircraft in a contested air space.

There is a reason for the small size---. Now if it can be teamed up with a JH7B with Growler and wild weasel type capabilities---it will form a deadly combination.

Very well said but about Tank crew i must want to add, in past we have operated M47 Patton tanks (5 member crew) and learned quite valueable lessons not to use 4 or 5 member crew tank where we have to face enemy in plains and under direct fire, we have changed our requirements according to our needs we need lighter Tanks with extra fuel + ammunition.
