According to the Russian military industrial complex March 2 News reported that China and Pakistan will jointly launch a two-seat version of the light supersonic fighter aircraft JF-17B / FC-1B at this year's International Aviation and Aerospace Exhibition in Paris, France, this type of aircraft may be equipped France M88-2 engine modifications.



It is reported that, as early as three years ago in the joint development of Pakistan reported that the "Fierce Dragon" fighter of the two-seater version. did the dimension change? i never expected it to come tbh. the engine size has been reduced for sure yeah?
how about drag? did drag increase ?

It was expected last year December but was postponed.
It looks new version might be appeared by 23rd March 2017.

Any evidence or development w.r.t. possibility of RD-93MA (Russian) for upcoming birds or WS-13(Chinese) engine has matured enough to power up the bird sooner or later? As we reportedly know that FC-31 used WS-13E for its V2.0 First flight.

engine is almost ready..having some very minor issues...nothing more to say from my side now

If WS-13 is on the table that would be huge.

We could jointly produce them under the JF-17 programme.

Speaking of Engine, just refreshed my memory from 2012 or around when J-20 was progressing and I read it in the lines hence, trying to connect the dots as as much as possible. There are many reports w.r.t. new engine for JFT as RD-93MA was discussed a lot then we read about possible WS-10 or WS-13 but seeing the WS-13E powering FC-31, had an idea that may be engine is near finalizing and can be a possible contender for our JF-17s program but who knows. Saying that Pakistan was going to have an overhaul factory of Russian engine possibly so one can assume about RD-93MA as future engine for JF-17 but nothing credible yet in this regard. Waiting for the reply from @messiach that may shed some light as an attempt from my side to lighten up things as it has been very silent since many days. :-)
