Pakistan wants to get out of Cold War era dynamics: COAS

Is it only me, who have realized that in order to remain a super power, you must have Pakistan on your side. If any superpower is working against Pakistan heads towards its destruction naturally.
Also I feel like Pakistan as a country, grew up in the house of pharaoh, like Mosa A.S was brought up in the house of pharaoh, only to rebel against him.

The army chief further said that the zero-sum dynamics of the Cold War era are still prevalent in South Asia. "We have no hostile designs towards any country and will keep on working towards a cooperative regional framework based on sovereign equality and mutual progress through connectivity," said General Bajwa.

Jab Churya chug gai kheet....after long time..something sensible came out of Pakistani general mouth!

We have no brothers. If war come we will stand alone.....but sons and daughters of Pakistan will stand tall and fight hard. There is no question of that. The rest is drama and business

I guess in long term future Russia and India are going on a different trajectory ... The only interest Russia had in India was its huge defence market but now with India going in US camp and reducing reliance on russian equipment this relationship is going whereas in new era, China is the leading factor wheras both RUssia and Pakistan are closest to China ...

The way Indians are working for US in the region one can predict that India will move to US block whereas Russia and Pakistan will move to China block ...

Hate to disagree with that, India is not stupid enough to move into US camp a country who historically supressed India and its growth. On the other hand yes Russia and pak may be closer to china but so are Russia and India the ties dates back along time. And anyways India also feels Russia as a medium to solve Chinese crises. I bet its more than such a simple logic that you are trying to apply. India and US relationship is just to corner pakistan as well as get strategic importance of US equipment's as well as global US support.
You should have guessed it with increasing global presence of India and its political relationships.

Yeah that's one way of saying it, but then its only mutual benefits. But not on very friendly terms.
U help their economy, they will help your arsenal.

National interest is not all about economy! Its about convergence of national interest.... the enemy of my enemy is my friend....

in international politics, there are no permanent friends.

it is a matter of time when Russia will become to Pakistan what it is to iran. since india imports most of its armament, russia will not be stupid to dump india quickly. from russian perspective, india is a safe country to export defence articles unlike china who have the capability fo research and copy and improve clear example is that of su-27 to j-16. mif-21 to j-7g and j-8, mig-19 to j-6 and q-5 and all of there export variants. latest example is that of an aircraft carrier.

where India is still reliant on russia for all major or mostly minor technologies, China is not

so why would russia dump india on its own
