Pakistan want to purchase 150 JF-17 Engines from Russia

what material is used to print components in 3d printers. carbon[carbon not a metal] or titanium?
it would be easy to use a 3d printer to make some parts that would typically require laser welding or heat fusion.

@Blue Marlin

Well,it is like this,let suppose they want certain physical properties from a particular part of GT- fan blade,compressor blade etc,etc. They tell their specification to company and the company has a list of alloys/metals they can 3d print matching the specifications of HAL.Ofcourse HAL has to share with them the model of the part.By model i mean mathematical model
Thats how it is done. Besides HAL has their own test facility where they test the physical properties of 3d printed parts to certify if indeed it has all the desired properties

laser welding or heat fusion.
I have seen laser welding and very very accurate laser machine, drilling precise holes in certain parts

im not into 3d printing i still think its a bit premature. so let me get this straight. i can print a metal of something via a 3d printer ? i only thought it was a polymers[plastics] only.

paf plz test
EJ-200 on jf-17
this will attract middle eastern countries

Are you joking?? Since when does Turkey make fighter jet engines? ONLY a select few countries like U.S,U.K,FRANCE,GERMANY and RUSSIA have proven/shown they can build jet engines that are operational, proven, reliable, effective and have been widely used not only in their home countries but proven/mature enough to be exported around the world. These are so far the only countries that have the capability, experience, tech, knowledge to build fighter jet engines.
Turkey's long term goal is a domestic engine, which is why I said "maybe". You seem to be really hung up on my one example.

China is the only country outside these countries to be close to achieving this in future. So Pakistan will have to rely on the countries I mentioned above and thats it. Russia in this regard is a good choice.

I'm sorry, did you actually even read my comment?

Ok, but Pakistan should now try to make a engine of our own. I am sure our engineers are fully capable & are in position to make a engine of our own. This will only enable Pakistan to become self sufficient & help our engineers to go into the next level.

Only a handful of the most advanced countries can make jet engines - USA, Russia, France, UK & China (to some limited extent). We cant build a power generator let alone a jet engine.

This engine has an uncanny resemblance to GE 100. The powerplant of F-16 block 50.
