Pakistan turning screws on Afghanistan

But according to Brother A-Team Afghan foreign policy has alienated Pakistan in the international arena:) I guess when you eat to much chappal kebab the red meat goes to your head:) Afghanistan is about 100 years behind Pakistan. Basic infrastructure such as roads and hospitals does not exists in most part of their country. The economy would be crippled if Pakistan decided to stop trading with them and the Torkham border issue was a prime example. They loss millions of dollars and their media was crying like a baby.

Simple fact is they are a landlocked country and Pakistan is the cheapest route to export and imports goods. Look at there unemployment rate and how thousands of Afghans are migrating each month. They are a failed state and Pakistan will have to remind them of their place. Without Peshawar and especially Namak Mandi there traders can't export or facet their gems to the international or local Pakistani market. But we must let Brother A-Team dream because the poor fella has nothing else to latch on to.

Just observe their media channels and you will notice even their delusional analysts realize they are helpless when it comes to Pakistan . Why would the world listen to you when out of the meagre $ 17 billion economy half of it comes from drugs and half of your country is contested by insurgents? . If you watch their programmes in regards to Pakistan you will notice most of those analysts using terms like ''Ghairatmand afghan'' '' 5000 year old history '' ''having a language and land '' for afghanistan and that has been their only accomplishment in their 5000 year old history . when they see a 50 times stronger , more powerful and economically well off neighbour they get insecure and have to latch on to Pakistan to gain some relevance .

@A-Team is a good poster . But even he knows Afghanistan's limitations when it comes to Pakistan .

I had a lol moment for the Fancy Naswar part :D ok I gotta admit it was funny.

On topic, I think we can learn from a frank argumentation with each other, can you point some of your counter arguments to the points that I and @pakistani342 raised.

/Peace

There you go, now you have listed some of the arguments, some carry weight like corruption rampant in Afghanistan which is true and I think the NUG has doing its bit in countering it, with others lets agree to disagree :)

BTW what does "young padawan" mean ? it actually means pretty bad in my language :D but I am sure you didn't mean that ;)

/Peace
Why dont you learn from your history? afghanistan history alone tell more then this forum could ever be able to tell you!

On Topic (as you say)
First Afhanistan is a fragmented country torn by wars which lasted for over4 decades. It does not suits afghanistan to threat its most nearest neighbor.
When it comes to afghanistan unstability, Afghanistan always uses blame game to cover it weaknesses vis a vis taliban and other groups. remember wht ur ambassador to saleem safi that they cant fight it out against talibans....(check his interviews with saleem safi specially the response to question about why afghanistan is not taking action against TTP)

Secondly how long you expect US will need bases in Afghanistan? a decade or two more? you have to eventualy live without USA and live with Pakistan as your neighbor, mind your step now so that in future you can build good relations with Pakistan.

It does suits India to strenthen Afghan forces to built pressure on Pakistan, Pakistan have a contingency plans which may or may not involve Proxies! Afghan must realise that they can ensure their interest so does can Pakistan.

On Screw Thingy: No screw has been tighten as yet! we are just playing defensive for the while so that let the Afghanistan do wht it want.( Diplomacy some times needs hard evidences and we a gathering and compiling them vis aa vis Afghanistan)

The Harappa Civilization predates their so called old history by a long shot, so they have nothing to be proud of. In addition the Pashtun culture also belongs to Pakistan after all our fella brothers and sisters form the second largest ethnicity in the country. Unlike their Afghan counterparts the Pakistani Pashtuns practice "Ghairatmand" properly.

Now if the Afghans were "Ghairatmand" then they should have taken their refugees back. Imagine if you stay at somebodies house for more than 40 years, wouldn't you have the decency of being ashamed for becoming a burden? Plus you wouldn't be abusive to your host who had fed, sheltered and clothed you. But the Afghans have no decency henceforth we will kick them by force and then teach them a lesson for messing with Pakistan. A good general is one who picks and chooses his battles. Pakistan is just waiting for the right moment to topple the hashish regime in Kabul.

Brother A-Team had the audacity to compare us to North Korea. But what he doesn't realize in his emotional tantrum is that North Korea exports more than Afghanistan:) And if we decide to stop trading then they will be decimated and I think Pakistan should start to do this so that the Afghan's have a dose of humility when speaking to us. I agree with your point without drugs the economy would shrink further, hence why I call their government and army the hashish armchair generals.

Brother A-Team is a nice man. But he should accept the reality that Afghanistan is a crippled duck and it can't threaten us.

@A-Team -- it really escapes me -- on why the Afghans would not has requested to be included in Pakistan -- much like say Morocco wants to be included in the European Union.

Pakistanis took care of you for decades, already allow you freedom of movement -- 10% of you still live in Pakistan -- no one can tell the difference between an Afghan and Pakistani -- you are both Muslims nations -- same dress -- same language -- why not demand a merger.

This is where I think even people like Ashraf Ghani are simply not open minded enough or visionary enough. Ghana sab is known to be a prickly nationalist and I think that is where he fails. Secularism for his son and daughter -- narrow jingoism for Afghanistan.
