Pakistan, Turkey friendship rooted in history: Ayaz

Beside one century, I don't see any existence of untying historical links between the two which is just fostered around ummah cause nothing else.....

Let me put aside my biases for a while, good going fir both nations....

Yes but almost all of these Muslim soldiers were recruited from the "martial races" of today's Punjab, Sindh, Baluchistan and KPK.

Is that racist or ignorant or a bigotry? I really don't know.

But neither anthrapologically, nor psychologically, any such attributes have been assigned to a particular group of people. Until and unless a collective of Kluver-Bucy afflicted are there.

May I suggest to discard the colonial mindset? A good read

Not at all, whenever Pakistan fought with India; thousands of Muslim volunteers all around the world came to fight for Pakistan. Even the Azerbaijan-Armenian war saw over 6,000 Muslim volunteers. Today's war on terror is a domino effect of the US invasion of Iraq.

You would do well to read my post you have quoted carefully. Your reply is either a tangent or a flame, which should I assume?

Also, this was probably the last time that there was a strong bonhomie between Muslims and all other religions against the British act of waging a war on something dear to the Muslims of Indian Sub-Continent, the Caliph.

Except that those individuals of other religions were merely using the Khilafat Movement to forward their political interests, the same thing you're jeering about in other posts in this thread.

There is a reason why I specifically quoted "martial race" - I don't believe in it nor do I endorse it.

I'm just trying to explain you that most Muslims in the British Indian Colonial Army were recruited from what the British described as "martial races" whom were (for muslims) primarily found in modern-day Pakistan.

I am wiser today, did not know this!
Jinnah had the best lawyer mind in Bharat. He always spoke what the audience wanted to hear. While he was secular par excellence in front of a Western or educated Muslim aristocracy, he was a Ghazi title giver to Ilm ud din. Painting him with one white or black brush is incorrect. He was far too shrewd and intelligent for Nehru, Gandhi and others combined.

Then why did Pakistan get only a third of the Indian Army after Partition?

Lets listen beautiful song dedicated to Turks and Pakistanis and their blessed friendship......:smitten:

this one is better,

Muslim soldiers also revolted from British colonist army and joined Ottomon army in first world war to fight on behalf of ottomans against enemies of Turks....

Our ancestors also campaigned for Ottoman Empire, held rallies against British government during first world war when UK was fighting against Turks...

You fought against the Arabs

I know it for a fact (based on my personal involvement in official capacity) how serious the current government and the military are in strengthening relations with Turkey much stronger. Similarly with China, which is public knowledge.

The world in general isn't aware of how strong and united Turkey has become and where it's headed under its current leadership.

I agree with our Turkish brother who posted above that there must be ACTIONS and fast, to solidify these relationships backed by economic and military strategic cooperation.

I understand Pakistan's friendship with China. The friendship with Turkey is symbolic. It is materially meaningless without active participation of Iran. If Pakistan wants to ship a 50 ton tank to Turkey you have to load it on a ship and send it through the Suez Canal.

@wiseone2

I differ. Yes, it might have become only symbolic during Ataturk's period because of known reasons, however the history and recent gestures tell a different story.

I understand your sentiments here, make a personal attack and ruin a meaningful discussion between members here. You must carry on, and see how much patience I have.
