Pakistan to summon Bangladesh’s envoy

Being poor doesn't allow them to hand wash of their criminal deed.In fair criminal justice, same penulty given rich or poor alike.Al least they could apologize for their past crime and take initiative to bring justice to those 195 Pakistani war criminal. But instead they are totally remorseless and trying to protect their criminal slave in BD. That shows the quality of a nation they are.As their mentality is not like those of Germany or Japan, so don't expect us to like them same way that Germany or Japan liked by the world.

Sheikh Mujib should have asked for apology before Hugging Bhutto in OIC. A stich in time saves nine.

It proves war criminals SQ Chy, Mojaheed were Pakistan’s men
Asma Jahangir on Pak reaction to execution of 2

Pakistan's top rights activist Asma Jahangir has blasted the Pakistan government for demonstrating “disproportionately high passion” against the execution of two war criminals in Bangladesh.

“The government was only confirming the fact that two men were political agents and working for the cause of Pakistan,” the country's English daily the Dawn quoted her as saying.

The response sent a message that the government of Pakistan had extraordinary love and affection for the opposition members in Bangladesh than its citizens, Jahangir told reporters at the Supreme Court on Monday, according to a report run by the newspaper yesterday.

“Equal passion, we hope, will be shown by the government for the people on death row in Pakistan than being hanged elsewhere in the world by denying due process,” she said.

The rights activist was reacting to the response by the foreign office and Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan expressing anguish and concern over the execution of BNP leader Salahuddin Quader Chowdhury and Jamaat leader Ali Ahsan Muhammad Mojaheed.

Jahangir said Pakistan should first take up the issue of capital punishment through unfair trials here and of those Pakistanis who were being consistently executed in Saudi Arabia and then show disproportionately high passion for the politicians of Bangladesh.

“Are these two Bangladeshi more important than the people living in Pakistan?” she asked. If the answer is in the affirmative, the government should also explain why and what for, she insisted.

She was of the opinion that the hangings in Bangladesh would “further deepen the divide and haunt its politics in the future”. She said all human rights activists who monitored these trials “agreed that due process had not been given to the two accused”.

“We've condemned the unfortunate developments and even given out urgent appeals to the Amnesty International and other international human rights organisations in this regard,” she added.

The two politicians, said Jahangir, were executed “without affording due process”. The same right was being denied to the people facing trial in military courts on terrorism charges, she observed.

“We're against the death penalty and unfair trials whether in Pakistan, Bangladesh or elsewhere,” she said, adding that everybody knew that the trial of the two Bangladeshi politicians was “flawed”, but the role of Pakistan was something which was not understandable.

“If they [Pakistan government] are against the death penalty or the undue process, they should look into the trials being conducted by the military courts,” she said.

today's Pakistan has a clear responsibility to at least call this act of terror an act of terror. and yes Salahuddin Qader Choudhury and Ali Ahsan Mujahid had every right to at least be "political agents" of their own country, like any citizen of their respective nation can be. and there is hardly a voice for Bangladesh masses to express their horror at these gruesome murders (showing India-BAL's success). Asma Jahangir can eff off.

what bothers Hasina government and India is which side they were on at least politically when India was busy in its transgressions into East Pakistan. majority of East Pakistanis were Bengali Muslims. majority of East Pakistanis in 1970 were AGAINST warring against their own country and AGAINST Indian colonization. partly these hangings hope to coerce less and less Bangladesh people to admit that.

i'm of the opinion that today's Pakistan and former West Pakistan has perpetually been half hearted in defending a land geographically disconnected from their homelands and teeming with traitors and agents that want to sell their own land to Indian aggression and turn East Pakistan into a slave state led by Hindus.

but that Pakistan has done this bit today protesting this terror launched by the Indian proxy Hasina government will be remembered by the Bangladesh people. Pakistan stood with Bangladesh people and against India-BAL terror. but Pakistan and all other allied nations of the Bangladesh people clearly have greater responsibility in this mess Bangladesh is in.
after SC ruling they are BD national and how Pakistan record protest on rights of so called BD nationals (Beharis)
SC rejects plea for repatriation of stranded Pakistanis
NASIR IQBAL — PUBLISHED APR 01, 2015 06:49AM

SLAMABAD: The Supreme Court on Tuesday rejected a petition moved in 2009 seeking repatriation of around 237,000 stranded Pakistanis from Bangladesh by the federal government.

“During proceedings, Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed also reminded petitioner that a Bangladesh high court in 2003 had declared stranded Pakistanis as citizen of Bangladesh and the Bangladesh Supreme Court also ratified it.”

Salah Uddin Kader Chowdhury and Ali Ahsan were both Bengali. what makes you think they were of Bihari origin? most EP Bengalis in 1971 were patriotic and wanted to preserve their country from getting colonized by India, as any sane people of a nation would. it's ridiculous for either someone like you or a clear indian agent like bongbang to think otherwise.

Has Pakistan officially apologized to Bangladesh for the genocide and other atrocities committed by their military, deliberately, in 1971? This missive from Pakistan is simply adding further insult to that injury. I hope the BD envoy conveyed that.
Has India officially apologized to Bangladesh for colonizing it in 1971, and committing or aiding in the genocide on patriotic East Pakistanis?

This amounts to gross interference in the internal affairs of the sovereign republic of Bangladesh.

Tui tor flag change kore faki giri bokbokani choda. No one cares what an alien thinks about BD.

Only for large public disputes where hajmola is not enough is an envoy summoned. Otherwise the piddly stuff is dealt with by staffers at the diplomatic mission, it is the host nation's way of showing public disapproval, short of swearing on twitter. It's very formal, and well planned the agenda is set out in a memo which is sent out in advance to avoid deviation.
I hope the envoy gets to eat nice lunch/dinner with the hosts everytime there is a summon, and memo is handed over just as formality at the end with lots of 'sorry but we got to give this to you, dont take it personally yaar'. :p:

And all those "pro liberators" (if that's what they really are) need to be tried for killing so many innocent Bengali and Bihari civilians. Cowardly act and those people need go through the judiciary and then receive death penalty. @Doyalbaba

we pledged to save PA and give them free passage via India. We did that. How the hell you expect us to save all biharis?
Pakistan could have easily taken biharis if they wanted, all these years. At least the top bihari leaders could have been given political asylum in pakistan. They stabbed you in the back, because you are a bihari and they just used you.
Whats the point of summon, just a show.

he said 'patriotic east pakistanis'. Which is his way of saying 'people who sided with pakistan during 71', mostly biharis. Its hypocrisy to shed tear now when pakistan had all the time in the world to save people who fought on their side.

How wrong ill-informed and laughable your question is very easily established by your country thanking India and presenting the picture of Pakistan surrendering to India, enabling liberation.

Philippines "learnt" to develop meaningful relations with Japan and move on....after Japan accepted full guilt, allowed prosecution of many of its war criminals and paid hundreds of millions to PH in reparations (billions in todays dollars).

Nothing to learn from PH for Bangladesh because Pakistan has done none of what Japan did post war for PH and other countries affected by Japan in WW2.

Pakistan is not in a position to do so. They are poor. I myself have no grudge against Pakistan because they are a defeated nation. You don't kill the dead again and again.

They'll always add the Bihari tag because being a Bengali in favour of a United Pak is bodnaam. We know that well.
