Pakistan to seek debt restructuring of CPEC power projects

No one is threatened by CPEC except Pakistan itself. What has CPEC done for Pakistan except make her China's debt slave? When will Pakistan see dividends from these projects? Probably never.
The Chinese played us big time, and we're too stupid to realize it.

I agree with most of it.
1st- they gave u loans to build the ports they are gona use.
2-Then they sent their own population to work those projects. Their salaries were paid off of those loans:
3- all the money they make from the port will be rerouted to China

So you essentially made the ports they are gona use. Paid their workers and on top of that you have to pay the amount that Chinese lent you + interest

the only upside for pakistan is the local jobs it might create and the Currency inflows pakistan will see when Pakistanis can use the ports themselves

It is no secret that current Pakistan PM Imran Khan was against CPEC initially but now that he has seen the project and carefully evaluated the projects, he has changed his mind.

It Is more positive than negative.

That is a pretty loaded "us" right there... used ever so lightly. Why don't "you" enlighten the rest on who or what is "your" "us".
As what I have understood from your previous comments, that "us" represents a loyal slave of her majesty and the crown, Isreal and it's various interests, for some odd reason "the orange man" though you confess being a Canadian and finally India, a locality in India and a false prophet.
Did I miss anything?

Nobody is blaming China for Cpec here. We are only blaming Pakistani govts of the past that did those luxurious contracts.
Thanks for clarification.

Nawaz Sharif is corrupted, everyone knew it. He has a network, that a lot of people benefit from his administration.

What I am saying is, if you complain about electricity price, good. Go shut down those fcuking expensive oil electricity stations which were built decades ago.

CPEC is building dams, hydropower stations, which don't need to import fuel at all, no gas needed, no oil needed. Once built, electricity is cheaper and clean.

The graph itself is misleading. A lot of info missed.

The electricity issue is complex, using several irritating graph to blame is easy, but can't fix problems.

If you do want to fix problem, go run president, fix the political system.

Which is covering only half the truth. Most of the workers in South including Pakistan are unskilled labours.
Stop policising the project from your angle.

I have actually seen a very nice documentary on it and I believe it will bring more benefits to the people of Pakistan.
The changes are already happening.

I would really loved to travel along the road one of these days. :coffee:

You missed my legitimate criticism of CPEC, in fact, you cleverly deflected from it

China may ask in return for a valuable piece of sovereign land to be theirs for 100 years, like in the case of Sri Lanka and in several countries in Africa. This saddling of high-interest loans they know countries can't pay back is a known loansharking tactic deployed by China

yup that’s why it’s called a debt-trap policy

my prediction is chinas gona let them run wild with the money until everything is completed and ready. Then they are gona ask for repayment and when the Pakistani can’t pay they’ll lease the port for 99 years

Then I guess critics like you will just have to wait and see.
At 15% of Pakistan combined external debt based on latest 2020 statistics, I won't called it a debt trap.

Deflect, me? No, I picked the only relevant thing you wrote, grandstanding and false appropriation. Besides, I have written much on CPEC and I don't find it necessary to engage you on that...
considering your very dubious and convoluted credentials.

so think about it. Ever since your country’s existence. All the external debt your country took. 15% of it was accumulated in the last few years by one lender. And it’s 15% as of today at $17 billion lent. The total project is $44 billion. So when the project is done it will be around 42% of your total debt and that’s not including the interest that $44 billion will start to accrue which will also be included in ur external deb t

and I genuinely hope it works out for you guys and you become a successful state. People are lifted out of poverty there

But that is on top of your country’s murky history of paying its debt obligation to its previous debtors like the IMF

Holy f, can you stop spamming these images in every thread? It make you look even more retarded.
Why? Just because these statistics expose your favorite experienced Pmln govt each time I share them?

Dude, first of all, you are barking at the wrong tree. I am not a Pakistani nor an enemy of Indian.

Next why are you so determine to prove that you are right?
To run down Pakistan.

BTW the word Debt Trap is a word that is invented and used by US politician to demonize China.

Personally like Imran Khan, I believe the CPEC project will be beneficial to Pakistan.
