Regarding this deal, i have to agree that Russia is trying to sell things to Pakistan, but Russia is not selling valuable or important things to Pakistan. Maybe Russia is just engaging Pakistan to offset financial losses from US sanctions...

In this current world we live in, Coal is a BAD idea. Developing countries can say they have coal all they want, but at the end of the day, there are better alternative energy sources AND we know those countries cant afford the losses they will incur from global warming's wrath.

We have the world's largest coal reserves. So why wouldn't we use them before jumping into something else?
They are even building plants to convert coal into petroleum and gas.

Because Coal's time has past!

the best part would be if they will offer us S400 defence system or they dont deliver them to india basically cancel their orders

Pakistan too have to do something for it.
Even among friends there are no free lunches. Russia don't sell equipment to India for free.

We have gotten used to the frequent injections of money from USA, time and time again . Ayub khan, musharaf, 80s etc and other too in civilian times.
While our recent history is in front of our eyes that these injections are temporary and give only temporary relief . You get a steroid effect yes but it is no good in the long run . In the end you are left where you started.
This time the civilian governmnet is trying very hard for reforms with the injection and seeking exports and investment in industry from China and USA and even Russia . Only this is the hard and time tested way of developing our economy. The only injection can be local though local resources of you are lucky .

No one asking for free stuff. Even China doesn’t give anything for free.

Sukhoi Superjet 100 came in the news around 2011 during PPP government but nothing happened.

Yes it did came, held meetings with us 2 days back but no details shared in the news yet which implies that more work needed to materialize any major business deal or simply no contract signed. Though MoUs are signed during state visits but still there are exceptions. As far as defense deal is concerned, there are reports that Russia is set to handover panstir air defense system to Pakistan in Dec but no official confirmation annoucement or update regarding it as well.

One thing more, Russia seems to want a govt to govt deal with Pk which means bypassing of certain trade policies which may involves kickbags or certain favor. So normally such deals are kept under wraps. If its in our favour than we should definitely go for it.

No clue but many weapons are being offered by Russia few major secret deals have been made. MI-35 was just the start we quietly inducted Anti Tank weapons also and AK-103 also coming. Many Major weapons will be announced but many won't be. SU-35 kind of deal won't be kept hidden.
