Most Pakistanis think they are doing India a favour by providing MFN status..It is for their own good.

They don't understand that their own exports to India will increase manifold.

Uptill now Pakistanis have been importing $2 Billion/yr worth of Indian goods via Dubai and hence paying higher price for the same goods ..with increase in number of trading items ..they won't have to go through such cumbersome process can directly import from India..cutting down the end user MRP.

Are you kidding. Pakistan has already suffered loss from trade imports from India. Granting MFN will only favor India. Besides a country whose people celebrate the killing of our men, granting MFN status should be the least of our priorties.

You are not ignorant..just the fact you can't do away with your ego...you would much rather beg the entire world for concessions and aid rather than do trade with India...and this is when benefits to your country outweigh benefits to India.

I am a realist. Ego has no part will not have any part in this. If you are talking about the EU concessions, how exactly is that begging?You may want to call it begging, i beg to differ but then again its a matter of opinion. Qualitative competition and not sympathetic concessions is the bed rock of any trade.
If you product is good it will sell..you won't need appeal for preferential treatment and tax exemption to undercut your competition.
