What's new

Pakistan to give nationality to Bangladeshi immigrants, announces Imran Khan

If you can't send them back then make then as yours. That's better for Pakistan
We did send them back, your feeble govt refused to let the PIA planes land as for them being better for Pakistan lol, the Pakistani taxpayer is under no obligation to cater to these illegals from the far depths of the Ganga, these are NOT our people and NEVER were our people, I want Pakistani taxpayers hard earned rupees to be spent strictly on the children of Pakistan PERIOD.

Of course Pakistan must first get its act together and create a special expedient court system with authority to issue deportation orders given there is no refugee status for BD illegals (unlike Afghans who have a civil war going on for decades now) first.
ASAP.

. .
Like a parasite,,,,,, Patriots must rise up and prevent this absurd decision, these folk are illegal chancers who could not give a rats *** for their own Benglerdesh let alone the beautiful and historical Indus land of Pakistan, tonight no Sindhi will sleep with comfort, PM Khan should roll back this decision ASAP, once these illegal rodents get their passports they will make Altaf's MQM look like mere boy scouts.Kudos yaar.
Sir it is not decision. It is his wish and opinion. He did not say I have granted them...All he said is they should be given..so it will take a long time..first it has to get approved from both houses of the parliament. PMLn and PPP and plus other opposition parties can create enough friction. But even before that intel agencies will give provide him some insight. One thing is for sure, the decision will only be taken after taking due inputs from GHQ.

they willingly opted to make Pakistan their country

That's all that is required? So anyone can become Pakistani citizen as long as they willingly opt for it?

That's even worse than the most liberal of Jus Soli interpretation you know.

I agree there should be naturalization process for any country (as it sees fit and as it consults its people opinion on), but fruit of poisonous tree should apply first and foremost (if you get somewhere illegally such naturalisation does not apply anymore period, and onus is on the host nation to decide how long your stay is and what it involves legally...definitely should not be citizenship handed out at the end imo...because that is rewarding an illegal crime happening at the start).

I guess kids born on the soil of country is different argument somewhat, but Pakistani 2012 citizenship reading in supreme court (@saiyan0321 posted in another thread) basically said even kids born to Afghan parents (inside Pakistan) cannot have jus soli applied to them as they are refugees (i.e extra-legality to the jus soli citizenship act of 1951). That should also involve the BD illegals residing in Pakistan clearly!

Now Imran Khan has chosen this to be a major policy of his early govt it seems when there are much more pressing issues to sort out first. It is quite self-defeating....I dunno whats going on tbh. Hey I guess I will sit back and watch and wish PAkistan the best on it....I honestly thought the first major thing to be sorted out is the fiscal shape of the country along with bureaucrat reform.....because the ship is not sailing well at all right now...and is in sore need of a good Kaptaan.

the deciding factor is not if someone was born in Pakistan or Bangladesh but where they were at 1971, if someone came here after 1971 then he/she is an illegal Bangali and not eligible.

they willingly opted to make Pakistan their country
Because they studied Allama Iqbal, Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Pakistan's history And speak better Punjabi, Sindhi, Pashto and Balochi than any Pakistani?

No, rather they came here for economic and material improvements and not out of love for Pakistan or its people.

Those shameless Bangladeshis need to take their kinsmen back because there is no war in Bangladesh unlike Afghanistan. But of course what can one expect from a nation that sided with Hindu Indians in 1971 against fellow Muslim Pakistanis.

Kid, how many times have I told you to stick with stuff like cartoons and not delve into adult topics like politics?

For the mature posters here who are not aware of what happened, BD was under a semi-colonialist rule from Pakistan between 1947-1971. It finally had enough when it won the 1971 election and was denied by a military dictatorship to rule the country, that was it's right by being the majority, that it rose up in armed revolt to kick out an illegitimate regime from it's land.

Look little faggot, i know you love seeking my attention, but I'm not interested in your faggot a$$ after BSF took turns running a train on you.

You don't need to blow it out of proportion. It is limited to the people who have been born in Pakistan and have been living here for decades...Many of them have no other nationality, they don't know any other country or culture.
I agree with you.

For those people who have been born in Pakistan, lived in Pakistan for decades, and know no other country, we should accept them.

I understand that some Pakistanis may harbour some negative attitudes towards Bangladeshis for the 1971 debacle, but this could reverse the brain drain in our country.

Kid, I know that you cannot understand anything more than comic books.

For the mature posters here, BD's BGB of less than 2 dozen repulsed 400 Indian BSF in 2001, killing nearly 2 dozen of them. BD Muslims have nothing but contempt for Indian Hindu "soldiers".

Now is it not your bedtime child?

There are Bengali Hindus in Pakistan as well.

Just saying

OK that makes more sense. Thanks for clarification. Because lot of BD illegals came to Pakistan during entire course of the 70s and 80s I believe.

I agree with you to a certain extent. Those Bangladeshis did not come because they were impressed by the culture, but rather for money.
