Mirage 2000-9 is a best choice if price tag is around $10 to 15 million/piece. Also the weapons carried by Mirage will give extra boost and power to PAF. While j10c will not be less than $70 million.

In war you cant use the same trick twice. PAF must be knowing this, they have to constantly devise new tactics, technology to remain one step ahead of the enemy. They have won first round, for next round they need something even newer. Stagnation is death in air war.

Exactly.

Delta , we need deltas at low cost
Although my preference is
1)EFT
2)J 10C
3) M2K
Only BLK III is coming and PAF is still negotiating for flankers from the Bears, few years back Bears were ready to give us flankers but without AESA,which we wanted very eagerly, they denied at first but now they are ready to provide flankers with AESA and negotiations are underway*
No delta is under consideration !

BC Duniya ka sara kabaar utha lo kuch reh na jaye. Londay ka maal istemaal kar kar kay sharam bi ni aati hum logoon ko ab.

Our qismat ...never had cash freedom.

Sab choro yae sohco kae lundey kae maal sae enemies ka yae haal kar rahe hain to new flankers/EFT/BLK III sae kia banega enemy Airforce ka phir !
BLK III (4++ aircraft) + PAF pilots =Enough to counter IAF

so the nos. will not be more than 12 ~18. huge maint. & operational cost.

Its not about cash freedom but our priorities have always been wrong. Every time we are near something like JF Thunder block 3 there is a lobby in pakistan which wants to have a piece of pie from international kabaar bazaar. Ab home grown and built fighter pay kisi nay kya commission daina hai. French are notorious for high kickbacks behind their defence deals or perhaps we forgot augusta and how Zardari came to be MR 10%.

It could go up to 30-40 but still not worth it better build extra BLK IIIs with AESA and support local defense industry!

Just a question. If it is such a good jet why is UAE selling them?

Plus France has terminated their production.

Pakistan has better options in hand than Mirage 2000.

Can not be better explained. BKL3 should be no.1 priority but diversification should also be on top consideration.

Why not J16s ?

Bhai diversify the weapons, radars, systems not the platforms

J-16s can not be exported to any third country. Its been covered here before and I have cited publications commenting on exactly that.

Explain kindly how to diversify weapons and radars on the JF-17? Common sense would dictate that you simplify a supply chain for the same equipment. Older JF-17s would be upgraded with the same weapons and radars/ecm/ldps etc as the later blocks.

Diversification, lets say or radars from China for eg, from the same supplier also means that both systems would be susceptible to similar threats since the are originating from the same country/company and hence are either just versions of the same base design. Hence diversification for end users really happens with platforms and systems that originate from different companies/countries.
