Russia is entering at the right time. If China, Russia, India and Pakistan come to a common views and understanding, Asia will rock. Money spent on Defenec / arms imports can wipe out poverty from the face of South Asia......now this is a dream to look forward too... I like your views, but as long as there are people like Advani and Vajpayee alive, they will not let that happen. Advani tried to assasinate Quaid-e-Azam and he is still the same man in old age. Once we have new leadership, peace may be possible.

while Russia may take a chance and help in civilian infra . i doubt you will get any military benefits from them . they do give things on loan or cheap . it is doubtful that they will want to anger India by giving you guys any access to any sensitive tech .
