Pakistan to be first stop of Putin’s world trip

We already showed and you please continue seeing:what: Russia is not a fool to hurt India ( well as far as i am concerned both Pakistan's F-16 block 52's & India's C-17 Globemaster are made in USA) . What can Pakistan give for Russia ( has to be something both ways after all pres Putin is not known to waste time so if he is coming there should be something in his mind) . They still remember Afgan Invasion ( my friend there are no permanent friends or enemies in politics only interest) .

corrected for you

.
Oh please, stop being subservient from day one. Would you think a Pakistani PM get the same welcome from either of them?

Sorry but u know what.. its none of ur or any onez else business how we welcome him.....

.
We have endlessly discussed on the following thread.

http://www.defence.pk/forums/strate...-ties-between-pak-russia-china-iran-cars.html

There are two visions for our neighbourhood in regards oil pipe lines the American silk road, which would allow American corporations to skim profits the only alternative is the Putin pipeline plans.

American plans are favoured by Indians and India acts as a proxy.

Iran China Pakistan all favour Putin's plan.

Whichever plan moves forward Pakistan is essential because of it's geo strategic location.

That imo is why Putin is coming to Pakistan, Gazprom is looking at financing Pakistani leg of IP pipeline which India and or China may join later

Subservient is a word which is usually used by Zionist for Hindustanis specifically not applicable here ... Well ! If you watch Chinese welcome for Pakistani president or P.M then you will be realised about the facts.. Respect is something which has to be given to one who gives you priority on others. Human and their nation's relation depends on it.. By the way Bhartis as usual can't digest it..

. . .
Well the IMU has to be controlled. Putin is a smart man. Russia has come out of its ideological shell. If Zardari and Sonia (MMS is just a mode) can meet and exchange bilateral discussions, why not Russia and Pakistan? :)

.
Hope pakistan gets some benefit from this relationship atleast. the relationship with US or china never benefited pakistan. may be pakistan need to try india next which is the only country in the world with which pakistan won't be at the losing side.

LAHORE – After a prolonged period of ‘hibernation’ in international relations, Russian Federation is flexing its muscles to assume a proactive role in world politics, especially in the South Asian region.President-elect Vladimir Putin, who is currently serving as prime minister of Russia, will embark on his official visit to Pakistan after taking his oath scheduled for May, making it the first-ever visit by any Russian president.According to diplomatic sources, the two foreign offices are giving final shape to this visit and a precise date is expected next month.Pakistan would be on top of the list of countries Putin would be visiting this year after he assuming the office of president, as part of Russian efforts to initiate an assertive role in world affairs yet again.During their interaction presidents of Russia and Pakistan would review Iran-Gas Pipeline Project (IGPP) in terms of its financing besides finding other avenues of mutual cooperation.Sources in the Foreign Office told TheNation that issues relating to renovation and expansion of the Pakistan Steel Mills, upgrading of the Railways tracks, and projects in the energy and education sectors are also expected to come under discussion.Russia would certainly like to enhance its influence in the region since US has totally fallen into the lap of India. Pakistan’s tilt towards Russia too seems to be the outcome of this new-found understanding between India and the US as the latter has decided to assign the former a significant role in Afghanistan setting aside its old ally Pakistan. Both Russia and China have already endorsed Iran’s right to nuclear technology and have opposed US sanctions against Iran. And closeness between the Russia and Pakistan is being considered essential to maintain balance of power in the region. With China already on Pakistan’s side, the warmth between Islamabad and Moscow would certainly set the balance. So if Pakistan is looking for finding a new ally in the form of Russia after successive betrayals by the US on different occasions, the latter is also seeing the visit as a window of opportunity to regain its lost influence in the south Asian region following its defeat in Afghanistan, and with India – once its trusted ally – hobnobbing with the US.Putin’s visit to Pakistan is coming at the heels of Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar’s visit to Russia in February this year. Earlier, President Zardari visited Moscow in August 2010 when he went there to participate in the four-nation summit between Pakistan, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, and Russia. The Quadrilateral Summit focused on cooperation in regional security and economic development between the countries. As a result of President Zardari’s meeting with Russian President Medvedev, Pakistan and Russia agreed to convene the inaugural session of the Russia-Pakistan Inter-Governmental Commission which was held the following month to further streamline economic cooperation between the two countries.

Pakistan to be first stop of Putin

It is a welcome change and besides the economic co-operation there will be discussion on Russia's internal security which has come under attack by Chechen terrorist. He will try to gauge the willingness of Pakistan's institution to co-operate on this crucial matter and than respond accordingly. It will be premature to expect too out of this visit. Any positive effect to Pakistan if it happens will have to wait and will be tied directly to jointly control spread of terrorism in the region.
President Putin is a no nonsense and he is not going to accept anything less than what he demands. My advise to Pakistan's citizen is not to build your hopes high and wait till you can see the result in black and white.

Countries like Pakistan,India,China,Japan,Turkey and Russia along with middle eastern countries should become one and in this way so many problems could be solved. these countries should get out of UN and make their on group which will have their own rules and regulations and don't care what UN or USA has to say.

I think good for pakistan to maintain the releation with world. I don't think russia help pakistan for Iran pakistan gas project. But still hope for the best.

Russia to Finance IP Pipeline Project

Media reports in Pakistan said Saturday that Russia has agreed in-principle to extend financial and technical aid to Pakistan for the $1.5 billion Iran-Pakistan (IP) gas pipeline project.

A report in Express Tribune said that a sub-committee of the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) – which met to review the progress of IP gas pipeline project – was informed that Russia had agreed to extend financial and technical support for the project.

Talks between the two countries were recently held in Moscow, and Russia will respond formally to Pakistan within a fortnight.

The newspaper quoted Secretary Petroleum Ijaz Chaudhry as saying that a Pakistani delegation had given a presentation to Russian authorities in Moscow over the length of the pipeline, gas volume and financing required for project.

The project has entered its implementation phase, and work on front-end engineering and design, feasibility, and a detailed route survey is already underway.

Russia agrees to finance IP gas pipeline project

I wouldn't be surprised if it was signed up when Putin visits Pakistan
