The Asian Bradman and Former ICC President Mr. Zaheer Abbas joins Peshawar Zalmi as President. "It's an honour that cricket icon Zaheer Abbas has joined the Zalmi family," - Chairman Peshawar Zalmi

"Peshawar Zalmi is pleased to announce the appointment of Zaheer Abbas , popularly known as the Asian Bradman, as the President of the Board of the Zalmi Group. Pakistan Super League 3rd Edition 2018 Points Table

The third edition of Pakistan Super League has been started from 22nd of February 2018. Here is the details or points that all teams have gained of lose. In the third edition of Pakistan Super League, Multan Sultan and Karachi Kings are the favorite teams to win the title of PSL 2018. Peshawar Zalmi is the defending champion of Pakistan Super League this year. Here is the list Pakistan Super League 3rd Edition 2018 Points Table.

PSL Points table updated: March 4th, 2018 after Islamabad VS. Karachi match.

Pakistan Super League has the same points system that other T20 formats adopted by the ICC for T20 cricket in all over the world.
In the last session of PSL, there were five teams they played against each other and the winner of each match got two points. In this session, Multan Sultans is participating as sixth team in PSL 2018. There are total six teams now and they will play average of two matches against each other in home and away format.
Total thirty matches will be played in the league stage of the tournament. If the match is draw, both points will be divided equally in both teams. Top four teams will qualify for the semi-final matches. Points will be divided as follows during the group stage matches.


Two points will be awarded for a win.
One point will be awarded to each team in case of no result.
Zero point will be awarded for lossing the match.

If the runs are equals of the both teams at the end, a super over will determine the winner. The rule is also valid in all group matches, including playoff match and semi finals. The ranking of the teams in points table will be based on following conditions:

1. Higher number of gained points.
2. If the teams has equal numbers of points, then higher numbers of wins will count.
3. If still are equal, then run rate will count.
4. If still same, then lower bowling strick rate.

After the end of league stage matches, top four teams will be participate in the second round, the playoffs.
The top two sides, team 1 and team 2 against each other and winner will make its way to the final. The next two ranked teams, team 3 and team 4 will in an eliminator and the losing team will out from the tournament. The winning team from team 1 and team 4 will play again the losing team 1 vs team 2 and that will be the third match of knock-out. The winning teams of the encounter will play the final.

Sohaib Maqsood-inspired Multan Sultans amass highest score of PSL 2018

Maqsood celebrates his 50 — PSL

Multan Sultans set a 183-run target for Peshawar Zalmi to chase after being asked to bat first in the 16th fixture of the Pakistan Super League 2018 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

The usual pairing of Ahmed Shehzad and Kumar Sangakkara opened the batting for the Multan side, whereas Sameen Gul and Umaid Asif shared the new ball for Zalmi.

Early on, the classy Sri Lankan took the backseat in favour of his young partner before coming alive in the fourth over, hitting Hasan Ali for a six and a four.

Since when zaheer abbas became Asian Bradman ? Continent has dozens of better batsman than him.

Same way Tendulkar was called Little Master. First one was Hanif Muhammad though.

Regarding Zaheer Abbas, he is widely regarded as the Asian Bradman by Cricket Experts / Community. BTW His wife is an Indian .
