The reason why you didn't see any new technology its because its the Zaardari version of the Hatf 5 type where 40 % :woot: of the missile is missing.

well congrats to Pakistan, but we have many things ahead to take care of. Cryogenic engines, our space program, and satellite technologies. we already posses Agni 3 and developing our own ABM technology. what more infact we also don't know. You know its always a secret.

yes we have failures but they are just temporary, because its always something new, failure right now is no problem we can rectify for war time.

we can develop a really sophisticated missiles carrying Mega Tonne bombs but the problem with us is we do not mix our space programs and defense programs together to avoid sanctions.
Arent the engines used in satellite launching rockets and those used in ballistic missiles are different?

Your space and ballistic missile programmes are cited examples of how an apparent space programme can nurture a ballistic missile one. The Scout that became the SLV-3 and the ASLV later became the Agni-1, 2.

Let me give you a history lesson son.

Agani Agani-II and III are entirely based on western technologies and in some cases violating MTCR to full fill its BM dream. India acquired American Scout technology with a "indian" version and acquired German and French guidance systems, engines, and designs.
Indian ABM technology is mainly imported from Israel and the Cryogenic Engines that you are talking about is rip off of Russian supplied engines.

Amnesty International exposed Dhruv true origins and Indian previous claims of Dhruv to be "indigenous" turned out to be entirely false as more then 95% of this chopper is non-Indian.

in ballistic missiles you do not need cryogenic engine, plus the design is compact. that is the difference.

but

the similarity is about the accuracy and navigation during re-entry of the RV and body heat shield and propellant and its electronics. That's where the brain is applied. India has successfully tested its Space capsule and showed a significant success in the navigation and trajectory control during re entry. You can really do a lot of things if you have this capability.
Secondly, missiles are not tested to test their range all the time they are tested to see how stable the RV is during re entry with different masses of Payload. more the lighter the pay load is, more unstable the RV is because the velocity is much higher. and a single degree in deviation during re entry would either destroy the RV or the RV would land in the neighboring country. That's where you need space technology.

well i wont deny that we did not have the scout rocket world knows it, the americans and russians had V2. But we built the rocket we put up the satellite instead of building an ICBM.
we started our missile program very late. 20-30 years later.

the difference is same as building a nuclear reactor for a nuclear weapon or for generating energy.

If i am not wrong...the initial launch and acceleration of the world's most successful space vehicle..The space shuttle...is undeniably two giant big solid fuel rockets...later the cryogenic engine kicks in to maintain the velocity.
With that analogy..i can assume that expertise in both solid fuel and cryogenic fuel rocket engines are necessary for a successful space program..
India may be ahead in cryogenic rocketry,but Pakistan has more expertise in Solid fueled rockets...Its just that Pakistan is currently stuck up to the elbows and knees in this War on terror,and all resources including our brilliant brains are busy there..The day we come out of this ..we will be way ahead of you in no time.

well India has the world 3rd largest solid rocket boosters. and the ultimate missile Agni 3 which has announced range of 3500kms has 2 solid rocket motors. Instead using conventional bus control to navigate the RV it used something like correction packages, which is more reliable and 100 times accurate. But in space programs much more sophisticated equipments are used, miniature cryogenic engines and other advanced navigation software to guide the rocket. All problems occur during re entry and navigation.

Well...hardly sophisticated..Something that can be done in 1960s with analogue equipments and computers less powerful than today's iphone..can be done more easily today..
The problem is always the 'Need"...If a country really "needs" to go to space,they will conceive/achieve the technology..
India is hopeful of getting satellite launching contracts,if they can build a reliable satellite launching facility..Pakistan has no such ambitions for the moment.

a nuclear reactor can be used for either makin a bomb or generating electricity .. ....

our space program is around 50 years old and missile program is harldy 30 and we used it to build a satellite launch vehicle not a missile and we put the satellite into space. The miniaturization of the rocket and making it ready to carry an RV is completely a different scenario. but if our missile scientist get some help from our space scientist we can do a lot of things but we dont go that way.
there are many things same in a rocket and a missile but a lot of things different.

secondly i am not here to talk what is imported and wht is indigenous, i am talking about what we have and how our defense programs are different from civil societies and space programs.

Southern india is sitting on tropic..and equator is not far away...Most money making satellites arer the geo stationary type and have to be positioned on Equator..Thus a launching site on equator can be a gold mine...Probably a contract with Maldives? as they are on equator and building a satellite launch station in maldives will attract potential customers...Or covert the White elephant INS Viraat into This Sea Launch | Home Page
and make some money and good name...Provided india can make headway in building reliable rockets.

yes it can be done easily, that's what I am saying, but the globe is also watching you and that is the only reason our Missile Program and all those things are quite different from our space programs.

and as far I know Pakistani engineer and scientist are studying their built missile(Shaheen 2) to make it a launch vehicle. Of course you have ambitions at least to have a launch Vehicle.
