Pakistan Strategic Bombers planes

.
for fire power Pakistan can have c-130 spectre...or similar plane bought second hand and artillary fitted in it....
Will do good in roasting the militants up on the mountains.
Very good and feasible.
Pakistan military is ill equipped for fighting militants hiding in the mountains and changes have to be made. Thats the need of the hour for Pakistan.

@Vcheng

Sorry I had to delete your Haram post for some time . dont give away our secrets  . I have the warning in the edit reason

Pakistan will need to Manufacture her own Strategic Bombers if she wants to have it, no one will sell such a Platform. Same stands for India, though India operates Tu-142 I doubt it is for Strategic Bombing purpose and serves as Maritime Recce patrol and ASW role.

But a good Strategic Bomber can have a fire power of Squadrons worth of jet fighters.

IMO the strategic bombers are totally against Pakistani doctrine. until Zaid Hamid takes over, we are in no mood to launch Ghaza Hind.

until then we got minimum deterrence and thats enough to prevent any offensive against Pakistan from India. we are in no way gearing up or prepping ourselves for world conquest. strategic bombers are more of a concept of super power will bases all over the globe.
our missiles of differing ranges and types (ballistic/ cruise etc) are enough to accomplish the purpose of deterrence.
I would like note that neither India or Pakistan have employed carpet bombing or "Moral bombing" like the current and past empires have done in recent history and present times.

I will dismiss this idea just on the bases of "since India has it" so we should too. Indian doctrine is driftnet. their Ambitions are differnt and their threat perceptions are different based on their size and their place in the region. if they want to go on a world quest then good luck to them. As long as they dont come our way.

just because we have air-refuelling capability and AWACS, dosnt mean the next step should be strategic bombers. why do we need them?
the job of PAF is to ensure 'air superiority' over its territory and attack to degrade the adversary's installations and airfields along the border areas within 500km range. thats it. and it has the type of platforms required to this job. we could use a few more tactical strike aircraft in our inventory like F-16s and J-10s.

I think aerial bombardment upon her own land is not so much of a feasible solution, this might make Pakistani administration as unpopular as the current drone strikes.

PAF lacks ability to take on militants up on the mountains.
Its not feasible to send a fighter jet from jacobabad to atrack ambushing milirants on the mountains of qallat.
Thats why we see PA soldiers and Fc men regularly being killed while no or minimal loss of life to militants.

USA keeos pressing pakistan to do more against imaginary taliban,
But holds exibitions to support real terrorists the BLA,
A big fail of Pakistani foreign policy,
Pakistan should make it clear that terrorist is a terrorist,be it baloch or talib, and fight decisively against them.
That will need planes like c-130 spectre.

ok its restored now but I have put a very strict warning in the edit reason.

(which pretty much fails its purpose, by the time a married reader reads it, he would have failed the condition).

sorry I just wanted to abuse my powers because a BVR bomb and a strategic bomber only brings the painful memories of the red cap.
(note: pain is psychological only)

strategic bombers are not the solution. they dont discriminate between civilians and militants. and secondly, militants dont have dug in positions, large formations and installations that can be carpet bombed.

what you are referring to actually needs close air support with helicopter gunships or dedicated ground attack aircraft's like A-10 or Mig-25 Frogfoot.
currently we are filling this gap with artillery and whatever limited number of helicopters we have and rest is left to the Jets when needed. US military also calls in its F-16s or F-15 against the taliban positions that are nothing at a scale requiring a strategic bomber to level the whole district and the half the districts around it. they did that in the begining to let go of their fury and anger when 9/11 was fresh and American public wanted to see some big boom and blood.

Russia offered them in 2005,though no confirm news on that later..

"Still, we know that one of the largest contracts in 2006 stipulated the delivery to India of three Tu-22M3 Backfire aircrafts, two anti-submarine Il-38SD May planes, and 13 modules for licensed assembly of Su-30MKI Flanker multirole fighters.

So, you are not even sure if it's operated by the IAF or not, but none the less a shot in the dark from you. !!

P8I will not replace the bears, it will take over maritime recon and anti sub roles, bears will be in IN till 2025, the MLU will be coming up in next 2 years.

4 TU 22m were leased (3 more on order) to India for maritime recon and STRIKE purposes,

Tu 142 carries currently the BAE sea Hawks and KH 55 and will carry 6 Brahmos each,

IN TU 142 don't carry KH 55 (due to MTCR)
