Pakistan Strategic Bombers planes

Pakistan has a timid foreign policy , we can't be expected to dream big we should stick to importing Honda engines from Japan
Bombers are for nations who normally have "self dependence in their politics"

Our politicians have duel nationalities

its another Azad pakistan thread:pakistan:

unless we get more money than saudi arabia, its unlikley we will get any bombers

.
US will not sell anything to Pakistan now because of current situation & it is highly likely that things will never get better between the two, which is good for Pakistan because Pakistan needs to keep itself away from US. So US & Europe are out they will not sell any Military hardware to Pakistan. The only option we have is China & Russia i.e. if Pakistan can renew its ties with Russia, then Russia will help Pakistan.

TU-95 Bear Bomber looks like a good bomber & if ever PAF thinks of buying a bomber it should be this one but I doubt that PAF will ever buy a bomber. The only thing PAF needs to concentrate on right now is buying new fighter jets (J-10B & I hope some time in future J-11’s), SAM’s (Long Range), Attack Helicopters (from China or from Russia if ties are renewed) & Armed Drones (Turkish Drones are good option) these are the main things Pakistan Army needs to look in at.

Pakistan needs to stick with her friends which are Turkey & China, Pakistan also needs to fix things with Russia. No more USA & Europe.

Unless I'm mistaken any of these Strategic Bombers would need the PAF to have complete air superiority over Indian skies if they want to drop any kind of munition on a said target deep in enemy territory or at the very least the would need to be escorted by air superiority fighters that can take on the likes of 'Su-30s and the Rafaels' ! I'm not sure we have that or we're ever going to have that in the near future. Our philosophy has always been to deny the IAF air superiority over Pakistani Airspace and complement our ground missions; with that in mind getting a 'Strategic Bomber' doesn't make a lot of sense to me ! We can take out their forward basis with our SRBMs and so perhaps better versions of our existing SRBMs should be explored !

.
I thin countries like US and Russia is looking towards UCAVs as cheap and effective replacement of these bombers and Pakistan is not looking towards them at all rather we are looking towards strategic Missiles.:pakistan:

Plz forgive my ignorance .what extra benefit does a bomber give over a batch of fighter plane say jsf ?

.
we dont have money to induct multiorole fighters and how can we ask for specialist aircrafts.... even if we get them , how will you escort them? there is proximity of airbases to the border...from where will you fly them? J-10s will solve a lot of problems.. The technology of precision bombing has decreased the requirement of aerial bomb trucks .. Baber missile is our trump card which puts the least paf lives at stake

What do u guys think that A_5's are history hell nooo.. i bet there is enough in storage for when time is needed trust me.

You know I've always wondered whether the PAF has any plans to upgrade the A-5s to the Chinese Q-5D or Precision Strike Variant !

Pakistan should go for these(if offered)..(i ignored the fund issues)

A Bomber isn't meant for Dog fighting.....................It is used as a Nuclear Weapons Delivery System
It enables the Delivery of a far greater payload, than an ICBM or a fighter like JSF can possibly offer with a long or short range, depending on weather it is a tactical or a Strategic Bomber. A bomber is usually escorted by a wing of fighter planes to ensure it's safety.

I think SSBN is more economic for Pakistan as a reliable nuclear deterrence. :coffee:
An SSBN is by no means economical, especially for a country like Pakistan, with it's economy on the lower side. But yes, it is certainly the need of the moment.:coffee:
Perhaps it can buy the type 92 Submarine of China as a base and then evolve upon it..............................China won't mind giving Pakistan such an old platform, which will not compromise safety of their latest Subs, and Pakistan will be able to get a solid start. This is a much more realistic proposition than say, developing one , or Purchasing a latest Chinese one....

No country apart from America, Russia and China operate the Strategic Bombers, mainly because of size and depth of these countries apart from the fact they are the true super powers. Albeit, at one time, it was rumoured that PAF has acquired some TU-16s from China but never materialised since such large aircraft doesn't fit into PAF's combat doctrine. Because of it's small size, it always tends to go for multi-role platforms.

.
no need for such bomber that would be waste of money that pakistan have very less drone are good for bombing and multi role fighters so no need i wonder why this topic even started?no official link no nothing and the topic came out why?just tell me

.
We need to get a completely moderate operational air force with JF-17s and J-10s first before jumping to the gun.
