Estimated Cost of these projects 100 billion and amount allotted is just 5 billion its just peanuts it will take several decades to actually get anything meaningful with this meager spending. I say Private sector should be involved as partners in space Program so more funding could be made available. As i see it GOP alone cant afford a space program.

100 billion rs is not much provided its benefit for us in longrun,if we not spend money available on such project they will be utilized in doing corruption,if we spend money on these good projects then less money will be available for corruption

Guys, its always cost benefit analysis. What benefit can we get if we allocate this 5 billion on education?

Assume if you establish a silicon valley type industrial park with this much money by establishing high end universities and technicians with the assigned tasks to switch all electronic goods sold in Pakistan from this industrial park you can only substitute import but also do exports.

Plus you will be able to provide high end jobs to your youth.

Why as a nation we are not able to set our priorities right? Right now our priority should be to establish local businesses and manufacturing hubs and not fancy space research from imported equipments. If business start flourishing, government can invest in these fency projects with ease.

Feasibility Research = Easy money for some builder

Ur making a simple ..platform to launch a Rocket

Where are the Pakistan Space Centre (PSC) and Pakistan Spaceport going to be located?

My guess is Pakistan Space Centre will be a research lab in Islamabad

Pakistan Spaceport will most likely be launchpad for rockets in Balochistan. Pakistan Spaceport would be good for attracting smart people to Balochistan to develop the infrastructure or even build a completely new research city in Balochistan to support the spaceport.

Spending Rs100b now may result in Rs1000-2000b of payback in a decade or so. A space program is not just about putting a satellite in the upper atmosphere it is a step increase in your engineering capabilities and has wide ranging ripple effects in other fields as well.

Maybe via private sector and international grants they could get the satellites, but the rest of this is not affordable. They need to just focus on research (observatory's, materials, cooperation, education etc) for atleast 4-5 years until this debt crisis might end, and the budget becomes more flexible.

Then they can get the engineers from the army missile programs and finally develop a functional space agency.

A Good Joke! But no one who knows well SUPARCO and Government priorities is laughing anymore!

Maybe that Fat Fraud heading MoST got inspired from over watching SPACE FORCE on Netflix!

Agreed. This is where Pakistan missed the bus by viewing such projects simply from short term monetary perspectives.

Truck ki batti. Fix the economy first. Next, fix how R&D is in SPD done or build non SPD R&D centers headed by experts. Then make these fanciful claims that are currently excuses to suck up valuable government funds to maintain the bloated organizations like SUPARCO. 95% of these funds will go to chaye pani.

You don't just need funds. You need GOOD POLICY. We throw money at things and expect them to work. Good policy means orienting organizations towards goals, promoting pvt sector investment and integrating them into supply chains. Good policy is having people from your R&D organization come up in it and head it. Nobody wants to do these "unsexy" things because there's no headline. Rs.1405304534053450 crore for space station and Mars base makes headlines.

The space center is supposed to be in Chakri. The spaceport is supposed to be in Balochistan (I've been hearing about it for 20 years at least and is probably a 30+ year old project which should tell you how fast SUPARCO moves if it ever moves).
