buddy, space assets helps a lot in disaster management, resource management which can save and result in billions of dollars. The payoff is very significant. And you have to develop in parallel. Every country has problems but you can't focus on one problem while getting behind in other important sectors which may be very much needed in future.

Your argument is valid and very constructive, but I'm speaking as a common man who is only asking for basic life necessities for his own-self and his poor countrymen... we're a nuclear power but our energy sector is in absolute shambles, and I'd not let go an opportunity to apply the same analogy on our space program too.
