PAF asked for 1.5 billion usd ... in such an amount Pakistan can easily get one squadron of chinese or russian origin 4.5 generation jet ... whereas in terms of operational cost incremental cost of few squadrons could not be more than a 100 million dollar so from where do you bring 20 billion dollars figure

Yes it means they cant be connected with SAMs to target the aircraft so stealth aircrafts are still high threat ... but it goes both ways i.e. threat to west as well ... China's J20 is almost ready ..
i wonder how j-20 is going to be... china isn't planning on selling those to other markets are they?

i think they have a advantage here if they do... countering india for them doesn;t have to be only by them.... they can sell to regional neighbors.... and more money they bring in... the more further improvement and development without budget defecit... but i think it's mainy to counter america and south east china sea states...

India had imposed very big pressure on Russia, stop them selling Su35 to PAF. I believe PAF once made inquiry of Su35, but finally turned down.
