Pakistan set to dispatch 159 containers of ammunition to Ukraine

Please! Do not reinvent history to suit your particular flavor. Did we not decide to allow US spy flights over USSR from Peshawar? This was long before they started supporting India. We decided to ignore USSR and become part of US treaties and became part of the Cold war while India chose to remain neutral. What did you expect USSR to do? They replied in the same coin during the Bangladesh war openly supporting the Indians. Then we started supporting a holy war at the behest of the US and allowed the Taliban and every other religious group to use our soil
All of these were the right decisions at the time.

Pakistan did what was in its best interests and reaped the most benefit (probably could've reaped more). The US had much more to offer and Soviet Jihad was a necessary evil.

Even the Russian war reporting and analysis channel Rybar has refuted this marking it as indian propaganda and here we are fighting eachother
Not really. I don't think so. There are many articles reporting this for some time now and there have even some proofs on the ground for that.

Plus, funny enough, Pakistan has had very closed military ties with Ukraine this past years, and it seems Pakistan wants to keep that going .

The thing is, it seems some of you guys seem to use emotions/feelings(your former President Imran Khan fell under this category as well it seems) to to guage international relations, which is wrong. When it comes to geo politics its all about interests and benefits. So its good to keep your emotions and feelings aside. If carrying on with defence ties and weapon sales doesnt affect Pakistan negatively in general and benefits the country overall, then the country would and should go for it.
Chinese leaders for example are realists/rational beings as well, not emotional like most of you on here. Haven't you asked yourself why China hasn't come out publicly to clearly support of Russia's illegal invasion of a sovereign country like Ukraine? Haven't asked yourself why despite the tensions China has had with the US China has still refused categorically to supply any single weapon/military help to Russia? This is despite China and Russia having friendly ties. Ask yourself why, then you might come to understand that geo politics is not about your feelings or emotions but your overall interests. China has only limited themselved in benefitting from Russia's current isolation and oil sanctions by getting very cheap oil from Russia due to Russia's current predicament(which benefits China economically), which was exactly what i would have done. So they made the right move..not only does China avoid looking bad internationally by backing another country's illegal invasion of another(something they have always spoken out against) but they also avoid their companies getting sanctioned by the US/West(their largest trading partners/market) and thus also affecting the country's economoc development since this will also have an impact on her Asian trading partner due to western secondary sanctions. In short, overall, it isn't worth it. They can get the best of both sides by adopting their current policy. In this life it seems some of you guys dont understand that its everyone for themselves first and foremost.

It makes no difference. Regardless of relationship with Pakistan, Russia will continue selling arms to India while not engaging with Pakistan directly. Nothing more, nothing less. It's just business.
That`s exactly what US is doing. India is market for their MICs. But if we hurt their interests, they would definitely make us pay.

Ukraine War is crucial for Russia. They don`t want NATO at their doorstep. If we aid in against them, we too would be facing challenges to our sovereignty.

The debate isn't about right or wrong but rather Russia not offering us and supporting India over us.
As for your other points they are highly debatable and one can argue that what Pakistan is facing today is because of those decisions specially related to Afghan Jihad.

It's lose lose on both sides
It'll worsen relations with Russia and ruin prospects of cheap fertilizer, oil and other trade opportunities and well the West will never directly support Pakistan without strings attached.

You can achieve more from west then Russian even if western support comes with strings. In this economic crisis Pakistan have no other option then west to help recover its economy . with current momentum its seems Pakistan is mending its ties with west.

Well I guess some people begin to accept that our products do sell. So much for those skeptics...

Foolish politicians making foolish choices , neutrality is the best option.

So spare me the usual. As for the regime change, it is a reality and your army openly defied its constitutional duty and orders and not the first time in Pakistan's short history. In any other country people like Bajwa would have been behind bars, only in Pakistan he is enjoying perks like many before him despite committing treasons.
As for IK what would he have achieved is debatable since he was never allowed to complete his tenure so you cannot say he wasn't bringing any miracles, perhaps, perhaps not.

USSR had a history of supporting the communist regime in Afghanistan. Supporting their illegitimate claims over Pakistani territory.

There's no way that Pakistan could call itself a friend of the USSR. At that point China, it's already long term ally, had a bad break with the USSR.

It was the right thing to do.

Not surprised at all since the corrupt Generals of Pakistan Army have a history of obedience and subservience to White-Anglo Saxons. These Pakistani Generals are the remnants of the British Raj and still today these Generals are only interested in serving their masters at the expense of committing massive human rights violations inside Pakistan and Afghanistan.

No! it wasn't. We chose to alienate the Russians first by jumping on the US bandwagon. We could have stayed neutral like India did, instead, we allowed US spy planes to operate from Peshawar to spy on USSR. We only backed off after Russia's threat to nuke us.

Just look at their pathetic state. These generals have brought their country Pakistan to the brink of default. No white Anglo-Saxon there to help his subservient general.

Let the generals suck up to Anglo-Saxon masters. Their fate is sealed. All you need ia a pair of eyes.

Did you even read what I wrote? The USSR supported the communist regime in Kabul, which was an enemy of the Pakistani state.

Afghans used Soviet planes to violate our airspace, only to be caught and confiscated by our brave PAF.

Americans only made use of our rivalries with the Afghans. AQ Khan offered to hold a nuclear demonstration in 1988 from what I read, but General Zia ordered him to hold off as the Americans would stop their arms support. It was a tight situation but the Kabuli regime fell and so did their Soviet masters.

It was a mostly win-win for us and the Americans and the Chinese too.

Anything for the white master. If the white master orders, the generals will ship their pants as well.
