Pakistan sells sikh Gurudwara Land to its Army

the most important sikh Gurudwara are protected by a government trust in Pakistan but there are several small ones abandoned unused today. Lets make better use of the land as most of the sikhs are gone to india and visit their main sites once a year..we cannot live in legacy forever..need to make room for something extra..If sikhs wants their homeland carve it out of India..we have supported you enough already..and will do so when ever the need arise again!

Why are all the bharths worried about Sikhs? If they actually cared about them they should have given them Khalistan instead of killing over 50,000 of them.

50,000 where did you get that from? You might want to see many of the Indian army Generals bud.

Crocodile Tears By Indians ... They're the Biggest Enemy of Sikhs. Trying to make Pakistan look bad, But fact remains the same. Difference between Bad and the Evil is Obvious.

The fact that most of the important sikh gurudwaras are in Pakistan shows that the true homeland for sikhs is in Pakistan. Yet most sikhs are in India, because India treats them as one of it's own, treats them with respect, while Pakistanis have driven them out of their country.

Just to point out who is their friend and who is not.

Lets be realistic bro. Sikhs are not our friends. They hate Pakistani Muslims. Sikhs killed and raped more Muslims than Hindus did during partition.

Pakistanis should've gotten rid of their Gurudwaras when trains full of dead Muslim bodies arrived in our side of Punjab in 1947.

Theres no use in being nice to Sikhs. They will always side with Hindus over Muslims. They were always like that and will always stay that way.

Who needs them anyways.

Give all the Gurudwara Land to Pakistan Army.

And the REAL friends of Sikhs come trickling out....

What's the general opinion of the Sikh Pakistanis ? What do they want ?

Is there no free land left in Pakistan that the minorities spiritual land needs to be handed over to the army ?

Would Pakistani Govt have thought the same way if the land was owned by Muslims ?

Isn't it true that most of Pakistani land is owned by top 50 wealthy families in Pakistan ?

Good. Theres less than 50,000 Sikhs in Pakistan, less than 0.01% of Pakistan's population. Why does Pakistan need so much land for Sikh Gurudwaras when theres hardly any Sikhs in Pakistan.

Pakistan army can make good use of this land to protect majority of Pakistanis.

Not much difference though, there are 1.5% muslims in Punjab(India) and ironically sikh and hindu brothers are re-building and renovating the broken and old mosques in punjab.

Thats the difference the DEMOCRACY has brought between PEOPLE.

These kind of things make me say"Proud to be Indian"

Focus on the topic, or we will have to handout bans on the basis of underage posting.

Anywhere the news says the teh Grudwara will be destroyed. ?????

Also CNN IBN ...ohh we know how they put mirch masala.....

Why they didn't called or inteview any person in Pakistan on this issue. Surely if Govt dont want to talk they could have interviewd sikhs on this matter who are getting effected. Be it on telephone.......

Answer these questions then troll

breed hatred.. thats the main pillar of your nationalism not religion... hatred is only for the hearts of nationalists like you.. a real Sikh does not hate..

for the Sikhs it is clear..

"They, who destroy life by force and deem it sanctified, What will their state be, when God turns them out of His Court?" - Adi Granth

"He, who harbours envy against another, never gathers Good. He's followed by no one and he wails ever in the wilderness." - Slokhas - Adi Granth

also goodluck for your pipe dreams... as i said earlier... just wait and watch... that land is not going anywhere...

"He who encroaches upon another's possessions, How long will his actions remain concealed?" -Adi Granth

I don't believe they will destroy this gurdwara and even if they did then it wont matter because this gurdwara was abandoned.

Unused mosques are destroyed here too, I don't see Bharti media getting their panties up in a bunch on that.

So or else you aren't much proud to be a Bharati. Looks like we have to destroy more abandoned Gurdwaras to make Zalidar even more proud. He isn't much proud of his nationality in reality.:D

Sikhs don't abandon Gurudwaras.. and you guys seem confused.. this was land belong to Gurudwara commitee.. not a single Gurudwara but the commitee which looks after all the Gurudwaras in Pakistan... after partition Waqf board took over all Gurudwara land, but Sikhs never abandoned any of the gurudwaras so it was put into this trust commitee... this land.. which is over 1000s of acres.. was basically land which was gifted by Maharaja Ranjit Singh to the Gurudwara caretaker commitees... (before it was Nirankharis than Akalis than Waqf board and now this trust commitee).. so the problem is that this land was sold to Pak army for very low price by this trust commitee even though the land sold was worth a lot more money...

and anyways as I said.. just wait and watch.. the Sikh groups worldwide have not taken up this issue yet very actively.. but once all those political groups become active.. this land will fall right back in place...

Pakistan’s Minority Minister orders inquiry into Gurdwara land deal

New Delhi, Dec. 18 (ANI): Taking note of the deal of a land belonging to the Sikh Gurdwara in Pakistan, the Pakistan federal minister of minority has ordered an inquiry and directed authorities to submit the report at the earliest.

Saying he has ordered an inquiry in this (Gurudwara land deal) case and whosoever be the guilty would brought to justice, the federal minister Shahbaz Bhatti told ANI over phone that the Government of Pakistan is committed to safeguard the life of all belonging to the monitories living in Pakistan.

Bhatti even said that after the investigation, action would be taken against the culprits and went on to add: “Even if it was found that any high official was involved and proved guilty, he would not be allowed to escape from law.

It is pertinent to mention that reports says that the Pakistan Evacuee Trust Property Board (PETPB) has reportedly sold around 850 canals worth multi-million rupees on a nominal price, which includes a piece of land of nearly 311 canals belonging to Mota Singh near the posh locality of Defense Colony in Lahore and second piece of land of nearly 500 canals belonging to Samadh Bhai Mann Singh and Gurdwar Deh in Lahore.

Sikhs Diaspora has strongly registered their protest against the sale of Sikh land by PETPB.

Sikh bodies like, Shiromani Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee (SGPC), American Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee (AGPC) and Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) already registered their protest to their respective governments and urged them to intervene in to the matter to make sure the safety of the life and belongings of the minority living in Pakistan.

Notably earlier also the PETPB had to withdraw the two deals related to the Sikh Gurdwara after the intervention of the Pakistan court and due to international pressure from Sikh diaspora.

According to the information, there is about 64,000 acres of land in Pakistan, which belongs to various Gurdwaras in Pakistan out of which 16,000 acres belongs to Nankana Sahib, the birthplace of Guru Nanak.

Sources informed that most of the lands of the Gurdwaras were leased out and still under the possession of miscreants.

Sources say that the deal is violation of the Nehru-Layqat pact that says that both the government would not be allowed to sale any religious land belongs to the Hindu, Sikh or Muslims in their respective countries. (ANI)
