Pakistan says Mumbai attackers were helped by 40 Indians

To repeat myself once again, the fight inside the Taj was in full flow and the accusations by GOI against Pakistan were already coming thick and fast. One even saw a supposedly teacher with a group of 12 year old, going around Mumbai streets, shouting anti-Pakistan slogans.:disagree: Credit goes to GOP, for taking it's time in concluding the enquiry. :agree:
If GOI's intention is not to manipulate the incident, then, it should allow the Pakistani investigators to cross examine Ajmal Kasab.
At the end of the day, what could Kasab expose that the Indians are so reluctant on the access issue. Could it be that he may rattle some skeletons which the Indians are desperate not to expose. ;)

Yes we should allow them to meet Kasab, someone who you denied for one month that he was your citizen. But before that show us some proof that you are sincere. Trying to help a terrorist hide his identity by giving him Pakistani passports does not give confidence.

GOP looks like gangster organization of a rouge nation.

Plz learn to differentiate between a terrorist and a spy. Such immature comments are not warranted on a responsible forum like this. Every country in the world is involved in trans border espionage including yours. And thats how state external policies are decided. It had been ther since ages and it will continue hereafter also.

And Colonol Purhoit was enjoying Indian Military Intelligence Hospitality while blowing up the innocent People. I wonder Is this the level of Indian Military? Only blowing up the innocents and shying away from fighting real Soldiers?

So it is true that Osama Bin Laden was a state guest of Pakistan.

Did he get Pakistan nationality?

No wonder the land of the pure attracts such pious people as Abu Zundal, Dawood Ibrahim, Osama bin Laden, David Gilani .......... Pakistan seems to be the promised land for such innocent souls......

Running around like a headless Chicken with your little Bharti heart going petter patter on the same tune, then why not look a little closer to it...... scum bags likes of Sarbijit were also attracted to the same land.

Sincerity is indeed paramount since, your lot were talking live the other day claiming they never spy on neighbours.

The Drama Queens had the knack to blather such nonsense even after that released criminal exposed the true face of the self acclaimed snow white.

What the world thinks doesnt makes it a truth-
A few opportunities of outsourcing and cheap labor here and there- and the worlds POW will shift-

What matters is- what you talk does it make any sense?-

26/11 happened in your country you should be more concerned what the evidence states- not what the world thinks-

So tell me, if pakistan is as innocent as you say, then why does it has to explain its innocence at every world forum??

Why every nation on earth blames all the terror activities on pakistan only??

Why is that in almost every terror activity fingers are pointed towards pakistan in some way or the other??

You surely realize that pakistan is not so much important to the world so that countries draw benefits by blaming pakistan for terror activities around the world. No country will get benefit if pakistan is blamed for terror activities, Its only when that sh!t from pakistan splashes on other countries, till then no one is bothered about pakistan. You people go on and kill each other, we are least bothered, but if killing are done in other countries by people using pakistani terror infrastructure and support, then its obvious that pakistan will be blamed.

If your country was so innocent, why is that not even a single muslim power is standing besides you?? Why no muslim nation comes forward in your support and says Yes pakistan is innocent and india is falsely accusing pakistan?? Instead your every fellow muslim nation is trying to built greater ties with india in trade and technological dept.?? Why are you standing alone facing world wrath??

Ever thought about this??:azn::azn:

India and Pakistan should work to neutralize both Indian Hindu and Pak fundamentalist groups
its the only solution.
what do you mean by the bold part. Do you think that all HINDUS are bad where as only fundamentalists are bad in ISLAM.
There are fundamentalist in every religion and just dont brand an entire religion for your comment.
Your intension when you wrote that might have been noble to find peace. the moment you generalize on Hindus, then you are delibratly lossing ground on your nobility.

I don't think I should go to 65 or 47.
Get out of the logic 1=10 and step in real world. Not in fantasies of ..... Never mind. Keep it on

Report: Al Qaeda trained Mumbai attackers

By THOMAS JOSCELYN, July 2, 2012

Sayed Zabiuddin Ansari, the alleged facilitator of the 2008 terrorist attacks in Mumbai, has proven to be a "treasure trove of information" for Indian investigators, according to new reports in the Indian press. Ansari has reportedly revealed that al Qaeda was tasked with training the Mumbai attackers in a Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) training camp close to the Pakistan-Iran border.

It is not entirely clear where the camp was located, as Ansari has been unable to pinpoint its location for investigators. But according to at least one article, the LeT camp was inside Afghanistan. LeT terrorists are known to operate in both Pakistan and Afghanistan.

Ansari (a.k.a. Abu Jundal) was captured inside Saudi Arabia and then transferred to Indian custody in June. [See LWJ report, Key Mumbai plotter arrested in Saudi Arabia.]

The Deccan Chronicle reports that Ansari's interrogation reports say he has explained that there is a "great degree of coordination now between Lashkar, Al Qaeda and even the Taliban."

LeT reportedly called in al Qaeda to train its operatives because it was convinced that the organization could do a better job of preparing them for the Mumbai siege. Although 22 to 25 operatives were initially selected for the training, only 10 were able to complete it.

"Had all the 25 militants completed the training and made it to Mumbai the carnage would have been much worse," a senior Indian official told the Deccan Chronicle.

Bin Laden's documents

This is not the first time al Qaeda has been linked to the Mumbai attacks. Documents recovered in Osama bin Laden's Abbottabad, Pakistan safe house reportedly show that the deceased al Qaeda master may have played a role in the plot. [See LWJ article, Report: Osama bin Laden helped plan Mumbai attacks.]

The Hindustan Times previously reported that bin Laden was in close contact with Hafiz Saeed, the wanted LeT chief. Citing Bruce Riedel, a former advisor to President Obama on Afghanistan and Pakistan, the Hindustan Times said bin Laden's documents prove the extensive relationship between al Qaeda's deceased emir and LeT.

"The documents and files found in Abbottabad showed a close connection between Bin Laden and Saeed, right up to May 2011," Riedel told the Hindustan Times. Riedel added that the captured files "suggested a much larger direct al Qaeda role in the planning of the Mumbai attacks than many assumed," and said bin Laden may have seen surveillance reports prepared by David Headley, the LeT operative who scouted out locations for the Mumbai siege.

The revelation of Hafiz Saeed's ties to bin Laden also reportedly led the US to offer a $10 million bounty for the LeT chieftain in April. The relationship between Saeed and bin Laden is hardly surprising as al Qaeda and LeT have cooperated with one another since the 1990s. Bin Laden is also said to have played a direct role in LeT's founding.

Still another al Qaeda link to the Mumbai attacks may be found in Ilyas Kashmiri's role. Kashmiri reportedly took part in planning the operation. Kashmiri, a longtime commander in another al Qaeda-allied terrorist group, Harakat-ul Jihad Islami (HUJI), played a prominent role inside al Qaeda prior to his demise in 2011. Kashmiri was the head of Lashkar al Zil, or al Qaeda's Shadow Army, which operates in both Pakistan and Afghanistan.

The Next al-Qaeda? Lashkar-e-Taiba and the Future of Terrorism in South Asia | World Affairs Journal

Following the al-Qaeda example, LeT is a central hub in the vast network of militant groups that abound in Pakistan. It trains, assists, and facilitates communications between organizations like Hizbul-Mujahideen and Jaish-e-Muhammad (JeM) in Kashmir, Harakat-ul-Jihad-ul-Islami (HuJI) in Pakistan and Bangladesh, the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan, and the anti-Shia Lashkar-e-Jhangvi. Included in LeT’s network are multinational organized crime syndicates like D-Company, the ISI and Pakistani Army, and of course, foreign militants like al-Qaeda itself.

Initially al-Qaeda and other groups simply used LeT’s operational infrastructure—training camps, recruitment mechanisms, and media platforms—while maintaining strategic independence. But LeT has developed a sophisticated central-planning structure that has allowed it to move out on its own. LeT’s global presence is expanding along with its ambitions. The 2008 Mumbai attacks were among the first in South Asia to target not only Westerners, but Israeli Jews, linking South Asian political Islamism to the global, anti-Zionist narrative. Counterinsurgency expert Andrew Exum argues that the world’s most dangerous organization is “the terrorist whose actions precipitate a war between India and Pakistan”—a profile that Lashkar could easily meet.

Operating freely, globally, and with a large infrastructure and support base, Lashkar-e-Taiba is in many ways becoming the new regional leader of the global Islamist movement created by al-Qaeda. In an age of globalization, the ability to connect micro-level activities to macro-level trends is a key source of power. It is this ability that gave al-Qaeda its strength in 2001, and it is this potential that is empowering Lashkar today.

Globally, Lashkar trainees have fought in Afghanistan, Iraq, Chechnya, and elsewhere in Central Asia, while fighters from Bosnia, the Philippines, Somalia, numerous Arab countries, and even the United States and Europe have trained in LeT camps. LeT itself has cells in countries around the world—including India, Spain, Bangladesh, and Australia—and liaises with groups from North Africa to Southeast Asia. Even “homegrown” threats in the West like David Headley, Faisal Shahzad, the Falls Church “Virginia jihad network,” and UK terror cells bore a Lashkar stamp.

We been telling USA about the threat of LET even before 9/11 but nobody listened until it was too late
