your country is infested with worst poverty but your govt is spending huge amount on weapons so why you being Indians have any right to ask us not to strengthen our defence because our economy is in bad state

India have huge population as well....If you see India has been increasing her defence budget steadily but keep in mind that her economy is increasing exponentially... A decade back we were hardly on the world arena and today we are a different nation...Compare that to with Pakistan...Pakistan has seen probably the worst 10 years of her life and yet they are increasing the defense budget(justified or not - you guys have to decide)...In short when we are moving millions of poors our of poverty(pace is debatable) Pakistan is not able to do anything(or very less) about it....

Since you are a journo you would have easy access to all the state related stats. Please compare the percentage of people India has lifted out of poverty with Pakistan in last decade...Just to make it easy - do you have an equivalent of policy like NREGA??? In case you have then i have no shame is saying that India should learn from Pakistan about how to take care of her poors...If not then would it be fair to expect the same???

Secondly i have written it many time that how different your situation is from India of early 90's?? We were on the verge of bankruptcy...Chinese economy was growing exponentially - Violence in Kashmir was at its peak - Our long time supporter USSR broke...Imagine the country who caters your entire(almost 90%) defense requriements just broke!!! Can you imagine how hopeless our situation was??? Do you know how we manage to succeed????

So your comment about spending on weapons and ignoring poor falls flat as far as India is concerned...how about Pakistan??? it high time ordinary Pakistani should ask what is more beneficial for them - India as an enemy or just an ordinary neighbour(forget about friendship)...For your Army former is the obvious choice...63 years have passed and India is yet to attack Pakistan for the Akhanda Bharat dream...How many more decades you are ready to listen to the same rhetoric and carry on with the same baggage and keep ignoring the fundamentals of growth...

First of all... Let India be Infested with Worst-est Poverty... Even some areas be worse than Africa..... It's our problem, We have better economist in India when compared with Pakistan and this condition will not give Pakistan an edge over the next Indo-Pak war(Which I pray should NEVER happen)

How to spend the budget on what is purely our concern.... You earlier in this thread told Pakistan should increase its defense budget.... My only question is How Pakistan will increase the defense budget? Nothing more, Nothing less.

I am not advising Pakistan should strengthen its economy.... It is Obama who is advising Pakistan. I am happy if my country's enemy is not educated and unemployed.

I am really very happy that you did not care to respond for the latter part of my post. Infact India is atleast blessed with not having a wise foe.

Who cares about your so-called definition to the countries outside the region. I tell you, the land connection between China and Pakistan. China is Pakistan's neighbors, will not leave, the neighbors will directly affect China's chaotic border stability. more not to mention China and Pakistan will have deep ties. the port will not leave, trade and energy channel will not leave. Even with China we have good relations even in the presence of boundary issues.

Pakistan refuses to improve relations (including trade) till the disputes are resolved.

Well, China has 20 neighbors, 14 land neighbors, but we have resolved almost all the territorial issues in addition to India, for small countries, China and even concessions. The only problem is the sea territory, but the marine territory is a new concept, it Is a common international disputes, Japan and South Korea also have islands territorial issue. Southeast Asian countries also have an internal dispute in the South China Sea. I put a word in this, China is far more responsible to our neighbors than India.
