Pakistan,s defence spending lowest in region

Flying against NATO, it makes zero difference to the overall result.

No it's not. If Iraq had been able to take out 100 of those NATO fighter jets, even with an attrition ratio of 1:4 against their favour, the outcome of the wars would have turned/changed to dramatic extent.
Iraq had almost no air defence and very little offensive capabilities.

If?
As per NATO commanders, even if they swapped equipment with Iraqi's in GW1, it wouldn't have changed the result.

Why he comparing his defense budget with well established Economies?? Humne Ghans khayi lekin Atom Bomb banaya na. Now please Let us spend our budget on other necessary sectors. For GOD sake.

NATO commanders will say whatever they want, that is called propaganda, Goebbels was the champion when it comes to that. Iraq lacked proper air cover, and poor maintenance of the jets and lack of proper training resulted in an ill-equipped airforce. They could have done more damage. It seemed like they hardly gave any fight.

Iraq didn't have a weak air defense network, they had a huge military in all branches, but, what did they lack? maintenance, they had like 800+ fighter jets and only like 100 or 200 of them maximum were able to fly

well, the no-fly zone and the 12-year sanctions had their effects... i suppose their strategy in 2003 was to oppose on the ground and continue a resistance war.

they should have given a fight at every stage, who lays mines on a straight line ? Who hides fully-working fighter jets under sand dunes ? It's an invasion, you fight with all your resources, with what ever you have got. It seemed like Iraqis accepted defeat much before they were actually defeated.

i will not say they accepted defeat because the effective leader after 2003, izzat ibrahim al-douri, remained fighting the occupation and he even transferred a fighting unit to libya in 2011... that is quite a long resistance war.

All those who are saying that Pakistan's defence budget is enough must understand that with a budget of $5.4 billion we are fighting a war so the defence budget must be increased. Low defence budget is hindering our modernizing pace there are instances where our armed forces have to chose an economical option over ideal one. I am not saying that Pakistan must have a defence budget of $30 billion but at least $10 billion and as the economy is improving the defence budget should improve as well. Keeping a low defence budget would only make our enemy's work easier.

Your defence budget already increased to $ 8.1 billion now .

We are in the process of being left behind. We must improve our economy as that is central to a healthy defence spending. When our gdp is so low compared to other nations despite being the 6th largest nation by population its obvious that the defence sector would also suffer.

It is still amazing though what PA has achieved on a limited budget. We must support our troops, but first of all we must correct the direction of our failing economy. India is progressing further and further and hence they can afford a large defence budget. The question is can we afford to compete with the region or are we being left behind. We must make solid efforts to increase our exports worldwide. Our markets are shrinking in many parts of the world.

Transfer your account money to MoD account
No need to do that our government is after other politicians money these days:-)
And if such a situation arises I wont be the only one transferring the money. Remember Paksitanis were ready to eat grass for atomic bomb.:pakistan:

India spends 37 billion just to keep their Mig-29's and Su-30's from falling

Pakistan has done a really good and efficient job with such a small budget. Pakistani military is really competent, and we can beat many nations in a conventional war having much more budget than ours.
