ISLAMABAD: A batch of 20 Indian fishermen would cross the Wagah border crossing point on Monday.

The government has taken the decision as a goodwill gesture amidst tensions between the two countries.

Earlier, the fishermen boarded a train to the Lahore Cantt from Karachi.

The fishermen were arrested for fishing illegally in the Pakistani waters during various operations.

The Edhi Foundation made arrangements for their travelling from Karachi Cantonment Station and onwards to the Wagah Border.

The fishermen were brought to the Karachi station in Edhi ambulances amid tight security by Sindh police.

While Indians are playing catch the pig, IK is playing 4D chess :D

Great move, only thing left to do is make a big publicity push in the world media.
Show the world the difference between genocidal India and enlightened Pakistan.

This will be taken as a sign of weakness by gangudeshis.

Sorry bro! but the world doesn't care much about Pakistan and gangu beef.
Our stance needs to be tougher on that filthy nation.
Yes the stance needs to be tougher but not at the expense of these poor fishermen. The stance can be tougher politically, diplomatically, economically, and militarily.

Look at it from their perspective...the subcontinent is still largely a society where the male is the breadwinner. These fishermen are not sitting on vast sums of money to afford a lawyer and get themselves freed through the legal process...nor would they have enough money to buy the kinds of boats that have sophisticated GPS equipment. They mistakenly cross over...get arrested and languish in jails for potentially years...while their families back home can only worry and struggle(financially). By keeping them in jail Pak doesn't win any tactical or strategic advantage and it's just morally wrong anyways.

We should have gotten some of ours back in exchange, they have hundreds and won’t release any. Another weak and pathetic gesture by Imran.
