Pakistan Receives Russian Kornet-E ATGM

. .
52 units for mi 35s seriously how many mi35s are in service with us?
Bhai we have 1000AIM C5s. Do we need 1000 F16s for it? This is proba ly an initial order. Capacity build up will occur slowly or indegenization will occur. However let us talk of capacity build up.

apples and oranges or is it onions?
what Pakistan received can not be installed on to helicopters, best they can do is a flat back wheeled or tracked vehicle.

We need to produce them indigenously they're too costly and we need them in numbers.

I have not seen any worthwhile small or medium arms that we have started indigenously producing since 25-30 years so
@araz

we have not even improved the launcher goniometer optics etc of baktarshiken they're the same as 80s red arrow hj-8 missile so

Small order to try out and have a good look at! Rest can be left to imagination.
We have reached a certain stage in our evolution where was can progress on with our own programmes if it is financially viable. If not we can progress on with a follow on order. Once we have the product we can decide how best to mount it.

Is this latest version of this ATGM as it is widely used in Syria.

We should start manufacturing kornet E like north Korea and Iran they are too expensive to import

Nope, we already have Green Arrow in same class, we need something in category of Mizrek-U (8km range fnf) ATGM while we are getting Mizrek-O (4km range fnf) ATGMs.

what was the need for this? trying to understand as dont u have local copies of a chinese ATGM.

I m also thinking same, as we locally make Green Arrow wire guided ATGM, and will get Mizrek-O fire n forget ATGM then why this now??

noted, why not choose Ingwe - it is already integrated into Hind; we have been using it for a while already on our hunter killers vehicles plus Rooivalk. A hand portable version is also there.
the purchase appears to do more with binding relationship as it appears. plus its a good system too.

What about kornet em with about 10km range with a long list of battle proof and pedigree whereas mizrak is a relatively untested and unproven
Weapon.

we have not even improved the launcher goniometer optics etc of baktarshiken they're the same as 80s red arrow hj-8 missile.
Kornet e is at least one generation ahead of our baktarshikan with substantially more range accuracy
And penetration sir Not to mention laser guidance and thermal imaging. So

52 units are way to low to make any impact, considering Army have more than 22000 Baktar shikan atgm, and over 9000 Tow atgm !!!!

. .
These are only for LOC and testing purpose. Pakistan basically learned from Syria and Houthi Yemani, best weapon against enemy for limited strike is sniper and atgm. It is very lethal combo to scared away powerful enemy

Respected member for LOC we already have sufficient stocks of Bakter Shikan ATGMs with relatively lower cost. The Kornet looks to be either acquired to arm Mi35s or to tackle the modern MBTS on ground. May be first batch after that we may get more. On other hand can any one clear how many Mi35s are in use as 4 were delivered against initial order meanwhile there were news that Pakistan ordered more.

Don't underestimate Mizrek-O series they are made based on very proven tech, only thing Money offer over Mizrek-O & HJ-8 is 1200mm penetration & 5km range but Mizrek-O can be fired from behind obstacles and fire & forget system allowing more engagement in less time or rapid change in position to avoid counter fire.
