The reality is Turkey is lifting itself pretty well and strongly. It is a power to be reckoned with and a civilizational power of considerable strength and importance.

Its military industry as a per capita and according to how many resources it has, performs arguably better than any other based on those measures but nominally it is not able to match a combined western Europe even ignoring nuclear weapons. At how well Turkey's military industry is improving, it will be a conventional match for France in medium term future though. The Europeans are talking you down but it is also true that France's power outranks Turkey overall, today even ignoring nuclear weapons. But it's also true that Turkey's rise is impressive and its starting base is lower in this race and comparison.

Both sides have their points that are valid, rest is trolling and overreacting to trolling or insensitive commenting and oversensitivity to poor taste comments. China gets much worse treatment on the internet though lol. It is what it is but no internet commenting, not even in the trillions actually change reality. Turkey is a promising civilizational power and already today has very respectable military power and very impressive military industry and rate of improvement.
