Pakistan Rangers At Zero Point,Wagah Border

Why is one wearing black boots where as the rest have brown?
Boots signify ranks I think. Where I live, low ranks usually have black boots but high ranks have brown boots.

After viewing the Image closely, I have also noticed that the black boot soldier also has a G3 while everyone has Ak-101s; expect for the squad leader (on the right) who has a MP-95 which is usually given to officers.

And on the other side...

.
Uptill now Pakistani villages were not being shelled only the border posts were being targeted
Pakistani civilian casualty was due to stray fire.

..but today Pakistan has escalated the matter by mortar firing on Indian villages near the border...11 civillians have been injured and one killed.

Tonight will be crucial in terms of Indian response..we might see proportionate response from India on Pakistani villages now.

I have relatives who live on the border, just to let you know many casualties are live stock(aka cows) on our side of the border. Your "BSF" is basically killing their own god(s).

It is "come sniper hit me" pose..
There aren't really any snipers on the border.

It is a well founded assumption. the girl was hit in a cross fire (as claimed by Dawn)..an artillery shell did not fall her neither did mortar or rocket

There is lack of civilian casualties or injuries(just one) on Pakistani side points to the fact..India has not started targeting Pakistani villages with large caliber weapons..where as Pakistan has been shelling Indian villages since last night.

My Grand mother's roof collapsed because of a mortar shell, stop bsing and making false random claims. There are literally shells imprinted on village walls.

Wierd... the fourth guy also has black boots and what looks like a G3.

this one is better. but am sure eagle eyed forummers will find something interesting...
oh look the 3rd one has a dented helmet..

If any type of Pakistani equipment gets damaged, it is immediately replaced or fixed. That is not a dented helmet, its camo cloth that is not properly placed in; its probably going to get fixed.

As an unusual phenomenon IMO, Expats have been noticed to be more filled with hate and angst when compared to people actually reside in the countries.
maybe due to all the criticism they have to face in there new homes about there country of origin.

.
Or Rangers.... Someone even put a picture of rangers running away...

You forget Pakistanis aren't afraid of death, in fact no Muslim is afraid of death. We have been taught the phrase "Fear none but god" since the day we were born. Border Rangers have an amazingly high morale, they dont "run away" unless they are ordered to. That so called 'pic' your talking about was probably Rangers going for cover.

You do realise this a photo op?

Photo op? Are you kidding me. I see rangers all the time. I know how they look like.

What a gem of a BS..

. . . . . . .
THE FACT OF THE MATTER IS THE BSF IS FAR BETTER EQUIPPED THEN THE PAK RANGERS, the pak rangers don't have shit, there basically there on the LOC to make up numbers as a paramilitary unit, if the BSF or IA wanted to step it up they would literally annihilate them, if you look at some of the equipment the BSF has even our own pak fauj doesn't have that in places like waziristan(and i'm not trying to say the pak army is ill equipped there not) but in terms of devices like thermal imagery, surveillance etc our army doesn't compare. if there was no terroism related issues going on in pakistan, and we could dedicate 100% of our man power on the borders, maybe things would be a little different i suppose.

Lets compare Rangers and BSF standard equipment.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Both have good NVG systems.
India has superior and more modern mortars.

Btw the gadgets used by BSF are for detecting militiants crossing the border, they arent that much of a help when it comes to can actual fight.

Now you decide who is better equipped.

.
Interesting photos and some good observation.
What I find curious are the knee and elbow guard. I know this is a photo op but this showing the best kit stupidity is on both sides. These pads would help in an engagement but would hinder in patrolling.
One walkie talkie, or radio? Looks like walkie talkie to me, but I am not an expert, would welcome more information.
So the photo shows 6+1 formation of a patrol team. Which seems standard on both sides.
The double march however is extremely funny, used for propaganda but funny to people like me because 1 patrolling is about endurance, and 2 you can't observe anything well when marching like that. However works if this team is an action team called to an engagement location.

@Talwar e Pakistan
That is called patka helmet.
