Irfan, this is not the first time this fellow gone on like a lunatic. Why dont you check each of his posts. He should have been thrown out long time ago. There is simply no excuse of his hatred to others and gutter mentality.
No further things to add as it is clear he is being backed by someone and hence noone shut him down for his behaviour.
He is on ignore list and not worth my time. I reported him multiple times but noone of the moderators refrained him. WHY? He is a classic case of abuser and yet this forum's rules were violated by this young fellow and this is a good example of letting him continue with his behaviour.
Far better things to do in life than to waste time on this level of rubbish.

I will second this; I am looking in my library of 60+ academic and research textbooks I got a few months back from your country. It is just a treasure trove of academic work;

Also for the other person, my friend here is a well renounced mathematican; he travelled to Pak a few times for symposiums for research work at Quaid Univ and 2 more; he was appalled as professors steal research papers from their students and publish them as their own. Research is very limited to a few institutions. Now, he is in China Tsinghua, Beijing and 2 more where he has post doc research students he is supervising, he is always amazed at their work; similarly he travelled a few times upon invitation of Indian mathematical institute and again he was amazed at the work being carried out there as well.

Pray, ask your friend, just which university/organisation and which city did he visit? Or was he fibbing? I live in India and I haven't seen anything like what you described. Any Tom, Dick and Harry can get a PhD or a Bachelors in Engineering degree here. Why, I myself am engineering graduate. And plagiarism is rampant in India also. India and Pakistan are chips of same block.

It seems the military is really pushing SUPARCO this time. I recall after we tested out nukes in 1998, Dr A.Q. Khan mentioned something in a press conference how he was working on building an ICBM or something along the lines of we would only use it for peaceful purposes like launching satellites. And for a few years I would read up on random work being done...and then I saw a model of what looked like a SLV/ICBM called "Taimur" at IDEAS2001 in Karachi...the photos were posted online.

Then after 9/11, everything went silent. Did this project go underground or did they abandon it? From what I understand now, the military is really pushing SUPARCO...prior to this, SUPARCO didn't really have a fire lit under its bum so they got quite lazy...funding also dried up which didn't help.

If they are indeed collaborating, I hope its along the lines of actually developing satellite launching capabilities. Might as well...if you can launch missiles, then what's the point of not launching your own sats?

I agree that research and literature are necessary for growth but the example you are quoting is irrelevant ... US is buying lot of technologial items from other countries, for example parts of F35 are being manufactured in Turkey, does this means that Turkey is technologically advance then US ?

In a global world, you have some strong areas while you buy products from others where you do not have expertise. There is no doubt Pakistan is technologically less advanced in some areas of defence in comparison to other countries, but we are ahead in some technologies as well... Example of such aris are cruise missiles, MIRV, aircraft manufacturing, Nuclear capability and etc...

Not having a proper research and patent culture does not mean that you do not acknowledge the achievements. Otherwise, your statements are childish and will be ignored ... You have your methods of doing things and in Pakistan we have our own way ...

Pakistan was ahead to India in this field (just google it) but unfortunately civilian Govts stop funding the program for long time and now they started it again and I hope we match up regional countries quite soon.

I know that pakistan started before India.Improvement in space sectors takes several decades and not years for a country including US,Russia,China,India.It also required a good collaboration and relationship with client country as well+cost factor+technology know how.Even technological power house countries like Germany,France,Britain does not have dedicated space program on each country instead European space agency and neither Israel.Space sectors are dominated by countries size and all space powers except may be Japan are big countries(Interesting fact)

Sometimes I wonder, do Pakistanis really know anything about quality research? No wonder the general contribution of Pakistan in top notch places is abysmally poor. We can surely discuss what I've said based on facts and very credible evidences.
