First of all this investment has nothing to do with Nawaz Sharif, instead we should be thanking the Military. For a number of years the Chinese Central Government was interested to invest into Pakistan, however the geopolitical scenario was not correct. Things have changed due to America leaving Afghanistan, the Taliban returning to power, military operations and its success in the tribal areas, China's requirement in developing its western regions and the recent turbulence in the South China Sea. However NS is much better than Mr.10%.
Investments have NOTHING to do with NS? LOL!!!! Investments came BECAUSE of NS. The amount of "INVESTMENTS" the military generals ruling Pakistan brought for over the past 5 decades, are in front of everyone to see, a country so backwards that it seems like you were living in the 80's, till just a few years ago!!!
Don't involve the military in politics, they are fulfilling their role. This is IK's new stunt, can't provide any logic to show anything meaningful for his country or the nation; so he and his people, bring in the military and TRY to make it the Military vs. NS.
Instead, how about you and your IK showed something they did for the nation? ANY results? Even failed projects would do...??? ANY national level work? (sit-ins and violence is not national level work if you can't understand that, that's actually violence and its Anti-National, before you start to tell me IK did a sit-in and that was a national project that resulted in killing of innocents and attacks on the parliament and embarrassment for the country across the globe).
I'd say to you and IK, for ONCE, SHOW SOMETHING to the people of Pakistan. A freaking CANDY even, that IK had to offer through his policies!!!
In fact, as of yesterday, between the PM and Gen. Raheel, a decision has been made that the military will NOT respond to any political issues (ISPR press releases). The Civilian government controls the military and they will take all media hits and will provide political cover to the military. You know what that means?
The military has found her place. They also know that NS is the last change Pakistan has to grow. There is a reason that two Ex-Generals (and a third one going to the court), COMBINED, couldn't take NS out this time around. This isn't to show NS powerful like amateurs like yourself and IK do.
This actually shows a systematic maturity where the military has learned that the civilians can do wonders for the country, if they are given time. And that Pakistan is in such a grave condition that if the military existed, more and more sanctions would have been put on it and the Indian bid in the security council would get approved and Pakistan would be declared a terrorist state at some point, whether right or wrong.
You just have too many enemies at this point, thanks to Mushy!!! The Arabs hate you (UAE), the Iranians don't like you (Gawader as the primary reason but they are cutting you from behind), Afghanistan is open about their hate and so is India. You don't have diplomatic friendly relations with Bangladesh, Nepal and others.
People like you, every time NS takes a trip, bitch about "wasting tax payers money" as the political system your "leader" shows you, is totally cut off from the entire globe. A guy who's played cricket as a dictator, is going to create a global focused government RIIIIIIGHT!!!!!
There is a reason when India presented in the Security Council, ONLY China voted against it and vetoed it. No other country or countries have the kind of relationship with Pakistan, which was needed to go and do a counter resolution. You can't grow trees, let along the economy, you can't be a "modern country" and doing trade with others, if you don't have ALLIES. And to make ALLIES, just like making friends on individual basis, you have to go visit them and find ways to work together.
Working TOGETHER that doesn't exist in Pakistanis and lacks all the way. IK is ONE example of not working together with a functional and producing government, in a country that's surrounded by serious challenges at this point in time.
Working TOGETHER is why the US, India, China, the UK are on the top, where difference of opinion isn't brought onto the street to damage the country and where 99% of your issues are fixed inside the Parliament, so no civilian loses a day from work, because a little mob of 20,000 people occupied main streets of a city.
The Japanese labor once did a strike due to their demands not being met. You know what they did? They produced three times the number of cars in TWO months, resulting in over stock and potential price drop. The company agreed to all demands without hesitation. THAT is positive attitude, that doesn't exist in IK's politics, whether for his opponents, his country or his nation. That's the worst thing a country can have, a negative leader with extremist ideology!!
But here you and others are, just too freaking busy in bit*ching about every small or big thing. 95% of these things, 95% of IK's followers don't even understand. But writing about "how everything is bad" as experts in each of these areas. This behavior makes you look silly, and Pakistan a country of incompetent people.
If you don't present your house as clean to others (readers on here), they'll automatically assume its a mess. Not sure if you can even understand such a basic thing!!! Quit making your country look bad as these stupid things will hurt its growth that it FINALLY started to have 70 years after its birth!!
Imran Khan is 62 years old and is three years junior to Nawaz Sharif. Personally I have no positive feelings towards Imran Khan, however as an American you have no business to question the opinions of Pakistani's on their leaders.
When nations have billions at stake, they have a right to know and worry about the stability of the consumer nation. People like me and others, if invest in a country for her well being, the idea is that its a "Win Win situation" for both. Pakistan gets the investments and completes big projects that then help her people and grow the nation. And the investors are obviously happy. Not only they helped a country out, they made good profit also.
From your mind set, it doesn't seem like you've ever worked hard in your life, as the dad probably did for you. But would you take your father's money and invest into a place and never question anything in that place or about the situation there it its as bad as Pakistan? and let your money just be trolled like the American aid has been for decades???
Learn to live in the global world. Difference between IK and NS is that IK has NO freaking clue about the global world. He wants Pakistan to have people living like the times before Christ (BC, like 12000 BC or something, with the jungle rule in place).
NS, on the other hand, wants Pakistan to look like Europe, things that he is doing can clearly show you that. So really, at this point, foreigners have more loyal feelings to Pakistan than Pakistanis like yourself, who can't use common sense for a minute to see the system has started to work.
Things that never happened in 70 years, are now happening. And IK, is trying to STEAL the power, so he can grab the growth from here and take credit forever. These are such cheap tactics its not even funny. People like these, are clearly not cut for the leadership roles at the level they struggle to belong.
IK's wife has better political ethics than IK does and she's MUCH sharper than IK is. IMO, IK needs to retire, watch her kids and let her play politics. I have 0% doubt that she won't be the PM of Pakistan in the next 10-15 years. That's as close as IK can ever get to the PM seat. Him....he doesn't have the personality, ethics, sense or mature character for the role. He'll drown the economy in less than 2 years and I am afraid, who'll kick him out? The military who'd become frustrated with seeing growth right now and comparing it to a future IK rule. IK, for all essential purposes, is a failed politician. People who don't have the patience, confident and stable personality, an in fact have negative traits, can't run a country filled with so many issues accumulated for the past 70 years!
