As much as Zardari, aka Mr. 10% was corrupt, he was the one who signed the deal with them to build a pipeline which it did end up happening on the Iranian side till our border. Anyways, I'm still hopeful about a revival of such deal in the coming days as the Saudis and Iranians have made truce so we shouldn't be under pressure now. Also we should look to make money from it too by extending it to India.

China for sure due to CPEC and work already started on that by building Karachi-Lahore pipeline in the first phase. Afghanistan is not viable because they already have a border with Iran.
