Pakistan pays back $1b Saudi loan or Suadi Arbia is Pulling out the money?

.
Hey, bro. I heard there are more Indians hired in Gulf countries. Any news on that issues? Are those overseas Indians sent back as well?

I am thinking if those overseas Indians sent back,
When I left KSA in 2015, the number of Indians going there was increasing rapidly.
Not sure bout KSA, but indians even after decrease in quotas make 15% of kuwaiti population. While Pak, Bangladesh etc have 2%.

According to the Pakistani Ministry of Finance and the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), Pakistan has taken the loan of $1 billion from China to pay back the Saudi Arabia loan.

In October 2018, Saudi Arabia had agreed to provide the financial package of $6.2 billion to Pakistan for three years. This included $3 billion in cash assistance and $3.2 billion worth of annual oil and gas supply.

As per the agreement, the Saudi cash and oil facility was for one year with an option to roll over the amount at the end of the year for a period of three years. Pakistan was paying 3.2 percent interest on the $3-billion facility, according to the information that the Ministry of Finance.

In its report in April this year, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) stated that “Saudi Arabia also refinanced $3-billion BOP (balance of payments) support loans that matured in November (2019)-January (2020).” However, the repayment of $1-billion loan within six months of its renewal was surprising.

Pakistan's closeness with turkey irritate Saudi monarchy. Saudi provided the fund when Pakistan's foreign reserve was lowest. Now Saudi have realise they can't use Pakistan for their needs so force Pakistan payback the money. There is nothing brotherhood here only interest exist.

Well another factor could be interest rates. The Saudi loan was at 3.8%, but the Chinese loan of 1bn that Pakistan recently got to replace the Saudi loan is at about 1.18 %.

The Saudi establishment is not what it used to be in the days of King Shah Faisal etc. When they would throw billions of dollars to their allies and friends for help. The Saudi monarchy now appears to be petty with each dollar, forgetting that we are the only country that will help them in their hour of need. Not to mention they are wayy more inclined towards our enemy India than us. Sad. Not for us but for the Saudis.

So look like there will be no saudi investment for refinery in gwader which was promised.

Sorry but as a Pakistani i dont recall when have we ever helped them in any big issue they faced but they help us in every hour through dollar's and international support on Kashmir, nuclear weapons, kargil just to name a few. And when they desperately needed our help in Yemen we backed out of helping our biggest and most trusted ally. So we are also at fault here.

Lets not make a storm in teacup.
Its good thing we should reduce our dependence on Saudi Arabia. Saudi Influence always comes with it supporting the wrong sorts of Mullahs and Madrassas admitted.
But Saudi Arabia is also long standing ally of Pakistan. Our relations should not be deteriorated. Government should keep things calm.
I say kick their Religious influence from Pakistan Completely if we can and remove any dependence on them completely. But don't push them away. We have historical ties with them. Better play diplomacy here. Don't put every one in zero sum game of Either Kashmir or Sectarianism. Make a relation of trust and mutual benefits instead of a beggar and a Master.
But i doubt Pakistani Government have enough Balls and Brains to Pull this one out.

KSA have much better Equipped Army and Airforce. this is totally stupid logic that Saudi Army is Hopeless and Weak and they need us to defend them. Just Feelgood theory. They are well trained and Equipped to teeth with Defense Budget matching that of India.
They didn't DESPERATELY needed our help for Yemen. It wasn't an invasion on KSA from an army or a country. They had full support of mammoth armies like Egypt and UAE.
We fully backed KSA when Saddam Hussein Attacked Kuwait. We will always support KSA if its security is threatened. But it was really Bad move for KSA to Ask Pakistan or any other country in Yemen operation.
Kashmir Issue is very different. It just required Diplomatic support over an existential threat to Pakistan and a Territorial Dispute. We don't ask for their army to Bomb Indian. and BTW Pakistan Diplomatically Supported Saudi Operation in Yemen against Hotis. (It was right or wrong thing to do is another debate).
Have we ever asked any other Allied Country like Turkey china or KSA to bomb Pak Afghan Border?

Yemen is A Muslim country. We will never encourage a friendly country to go to war with another Muslim country, let alone send troop to kill them. The Saudis needed to understand that. Support on Kashmir? You mean in the 70s? Or perhaps just a lip service. It’s pretty clear they need the Indian money more than they need their Muslim brotherly country.

.
It is good that we are returning back their money. But don't forget that from now onwards no financial help or assistance will be available to us from these arab states.
