Pakistan neglecting education of its people

So what are we trying to prove here. When someone agreed that it's the lack of focus from GoP that has lead to the situation the Indians started to push that something is intrinsically wrong with Pakistani people? Bunch of retard bigot members we have from our east.

If we are such a lost case and failure just GTFO of Pakistani Defence forum. What makes you obsessed to make your case here if we are an insignificant and incapable bunch.

@Aeronaut @Jungibaaz @Oscar @TaimiKhan
"I don't care if I am doing badly, as long as my neighbour is doing worse." That's the typical attitude of all desis.

The fact of the matter is that education is in shambles in both countries, both quantitatively and qualitatively. About Pakistanis, I can only make my judgement on the basis of the ones I have come across in the USA. Of Indians, I have direct experience. And it is my observation that in both these countries, the quality of education is piss poor. The emphasis is on rote learning and memorization, not on self improvement and genuine knowledge. So an Indian schoolboy learns differential calculus and electromagnetism, but cannot change a lightbulb or fuse if his life depended on it. From my experience of interacting with Pakistani school passouts, they too are the same.

The education system in both countries needs a big revamp. The old British system that was designed to produce a large class of clerks for their empire needs to go. Teach the kids less number of things, but teach them more about what they learn. Less is more.

On that I agree.
Pakistanis in Nordic countries have been exceptional. They are well regarded, they are well integrated, they are all high wage earners, high educational attainment.
Probably one of the best examples for Pakistanis globally.

I think you are going defensive against Pakistani offensive, which is obvious, as they can not digest the facts mentioned by their own...

Coming to Norway, as a Nordic member nation.
I have lived there for about 18 months or so...
And do you know for the fact that maximum numbers of Taxi drivers are from one nation = Pakistan.

Its a Common sense..
You could not become a doctor, before finishing your secondary!
Its relative.
And more, ask your BD brothers, why are they ahead at that level, whatever that be!
If not, Bring some graphs and show me Pakistanis are better educated in England at top level - can you?

Most of Pakistani community in UK comes from the Mirpuri and Azad Kashmir. These people were all ready illiterate and they never paid attention to education neither did they care about their children's education.

Come to UK to see Pakistanis from Punjab are doing great. They are going in many educational departments and government jobs.

Your fetish with Pakistan is laughable. BTW there are more Indians in UK then Pakistanis. Looks like their heaven Suppa power isn't all that they still make a huge number of immigrants coming to the UK to clean toilets and work in Sales departments.

Paranoia much?

I specifically stated that Nordic Pakistanis are an example of perfect immigration. High wage, high employement, high education.
Even that British Pakistanis have been improving their community with steady improvement across all indicators.

No paranoia and neither specifically targeted at your post. But you can see the psyche I was talking about in posts number 3 and 33 for instance. For these people broadmindedness is equal to being on defensive.

British Pakistani community is a hard case since many were villagers who got direct residence into britain, they weren't even urbanised when they were given citizenships.

I think You wanna be in good books of PDF MODS.....
Other than that, your post is just a methane discharge against all statistics available from the US on such matter.
Or is it horse manure?

The simple fact being, the Author is highly reputable Pakistani lady, which has thrown some "thought provoking" figures hitherto unknown to even Pakistanis....

And you are here to...........
Good luck...

I did not base my statements on the article in the OP - it was based on my own personal experience, as I made clear. Is there anything specific in my post that you disagree with, that you think is wrong, that you classified as "horse manure" and "methane discharge"? If so, please point it out. This empty adjectivising doesn't help at all. Be specific in saying what you disagree with.

P.S: I can assure you, I am not in the good books of PDF mods, nor do I care to be.

This is not a war my friend.
I understood that Pakistanis in Nordic countries are far better than their UK counterparts. Being a taxi driver is not wrong. Trying to change country into Islamists is wrong, being involved in terrorism and its branches is wrong.

You have given me new data though. Thank you for that.

Ofcourse. Though you do realize that being from a rural background is no justification for what the British Mirpuri community has been involved in - from being inward looking to radicalization to whatnot.
There have been other factors involved - that Jaanbaz, waz, Jugibaaz and Pakistani-Exile, have explained well on other threads.

Also in UK you get everything on plate. You don't understand English? No problem we will get you a translator. There is no real effort by government to encourage migrants to learn English. Now Polish is one of the most spoken language in UK. Many Poles who wanted to apply for benefits, they didn't understand English so they got Polish translator.

I have to drive 15 mins to arrive in a large Mirpuri dominated neighbourhood too see people living for the past 15-20 years and can hardly put a sentence together.

There is another problem being ignored. This has happened to my friends and is happening at a larger scale then we think. The practise of taking their kids to long holidays in Pakistan. Also if some kids mess around, i.e. they smoke or occasional getting into trouble then their parents send them to Pakistan to get disciplined. Some intelligent kids were sent to Pakistan by their parents because they used to smoke, some of them came back after few years. Taken away from Schools and colleges. Some of them have returned mentally disturbed and even physically abused.

Call me racist but there is a problem with Pakistani community in UK specially Mirpuri. Although I would like to add some younger Mirpuris are now doing better in education, many are getting straight A;s in GCSE and A Levels. But most of them are girls. Boys are getting into trouble.

I don't know why they paint every UK Pakistani with same brush. My relatives who are there since just one generation (moved there in 80's), their children's have become ustaad, waqeel and someone just got a job in a bank. And their parents moved from rural punjab not even urban. But they made sure their children didn't become dish washers, even if they did menial jobs themselves. UK offer lot of opportunities.

Exactly my point. Punjabis are all ready well. And that includes Punjabis from Pakistan and India. We are talking about the community from Azad Kashrm who happen to make the majority of figures for Pakistanis. Thus the figures become bad and reflect bad for rest of the Pakistani community.

The International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) is an academically rigorous, internationally used, specialized, English language curriculum which is offered to students to prepare them for International Baccalaureate and CIE A-level (which is recommended for higher tier students). It is based on the GCE O-Level and is recognised as being equivalent to the GCSE.

Is there any reason as to why the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program is not popular in Pakistan. There are just about 4 IB schools in all of Pakistan. India has over 100 and more are added every year.

Inward looking or being involved in crimes is a symptom of being socially backward. You would find ghettoisation almost universal in socially and economically backward groups. Could they have done better, absolutely. But comparing them to migrant groups that were already educated and/or urbanised when they moved would be unfair.

As you already note that they are improving. This shows that they are just passing through the natural evolution and upward mobility that you'd expect. So in that sense they are as good or bad as any other group of migrants.

In absolute numbers there is no comparison between India and Pakistan. Anyway i think there are 5 of them in Pakistan and will keep increasing.

It makes me angry. So many years they spend wasting away here and never think to learn the language, give something back ot learn the damn language. You don't have to be able to recite Shakespeare, just conversational English will do.

This is something I've seen too, smart kids being put in all sorts of wrong directions, directly or indirectly by parents who have no idea what they're doing.

Very true, it's difficult to admit, and I do not enjoy singling out one group, but our Mirpuri up north have not fared well. The men in the past did not accomplish anything beyond the borders of their own community and women not beyond their own husbands, fathers and brothers.

Too many are happy to just get by on hand outs and the absolute minimum amount of effort. Children are discouraged from involving themselves too much in the local's world, some of it comes with some inherently un-Islamic ideas, it's difficult for children to escape this without some serious guidance, others turn to crime and I am not surprised some young Mirpuri lads turned to some very horrible crimes, we should have seen it coming.

Before throwing stones to someone's house, loot at your own house first...
NEW DELHI: Achieving the goal of getting all children in school by 2015 is now clearly impossible. It has emerged that there are 57.8 million children who are out of primary school globally. And India, with 1.4 million children, ranks among the top five nations with kids aged six to 11 out of school.
1.4 million Indian children aged 6-11 out of school: Unesco - The Times of India

And this 25 million figure seems to be inaccurate..!

90 million females in India are non-literate But 20 per cent of children aged 6 to14 are still not in school and millions of women remain non-literate despite the spurt in female literacy in the 1990s.

no you dumb indian, your post was liked by me, but then you started barking, thats where the hatred lied... its you who is dying in hatred of your own... not us...

What is there to hate? every second Pakistani kid hasnt seen the inside of a school - not even a madrassah, i.e. 50% of Pakistani kids dont know what a school is - this worse than the study that 50% of Pakistanis dont know what a toilet is.
