insurgency is over in Kashmir and things are better now , even India has cut down its troops in Kashmir because of it.
While I do hope you are right, but the current situation in Pakistan does give reasons for worry.
Starting with Imran Khan's blockade of the iSAF route, galvanised by the groundswell of anger at the manner in which the US was treating Pakistan as if it were a colony of the US, the humiliation that the US has caused by their raid in Abbotabad showcasing again that the US does not care about Pakistan's sovereignty and territorial integrity as also the incompetence of the Pakistan Govt and Pakistan military, has got the Pakistanis rightly very angry.
Pakistanis are now questioning even their Army and are openly criticising it. This was unheard of! And so one can appreciate the common Pakistani's anger. They are also asking for the resignation of the President, the Army chief, Air Chief and the ISI Chief! Again unheard of.
In this scenario, they all have to ACT in a very positive and machismo manner so as to reassure the Pakistani people and these chaps are hardly the types who will in a gentlemanly manner, resign.
Given the international mood against Pakistan over Osama and the belief that Pakistan authorities including the Army and the ISI conniving with the AQ in 'hiding' Osama, these people, the Army Chief or the ISI Chief or even Zardari will not either attack India nor have another Mumbai type of show since that will prove disastrous for Pakistan.
And so, they will do the next best thing - cause mayhem in Kashmir, but releasing the terrorists, who are now going to be unemployed since the heat is on after the US raid.
And they will claim, as they have always done, that it is but a homegrown insurgency and Pakistan has nothing to do with it.
This time they will take care to cover the trail very very carefully.
This will take the heat of those who heads the Pakistanis are demanding for the Osama raid.
And they will live happily ever after!
