Pakistan needs democracy for economic revival

Personally I think Pakistan needs to find ways of Getting rid of Zia's Islamization legecy the UAE has a blasphemy law but no death penalty just a fine and paying money pakistan could try this and gradual steps on removing it.

No I'm not. I do know he's most definitely gonna do something, maybe put atleast the country on the right path? Can't say, but what's the worst that could happen?

the worst could happen is him getting shot during elections. and if he gets shot the country would literally go into a state of anarchy and wildness. riots will last for weeks. hes the only hope make sure u preserve him.

Dear Friend ....Pakistan is democratic country like INDIA and Korean and other so called nations....The issue is not with the systems..rather it is with people who use the system.....And if you see the history of Pakistan...It is more prosperous and economically progressive in Military rulers rather than Democratic systems...

US will only leave Afghanistan when she will feel like it. I see since the post invasion of afg there has been a systematic rise in pakistani nationalism, be careful of it. Strong Pakistani nationalism will invoke anti American sentiments.....i already see a strong anti american sentiment in pakistan. I believe the main aim for us is to denuclearize pakistan. I was watching the daily show the other day and john stewat brings a journalist and he asks him "which is the mostdangerous country you have ever visited?" he replies "pakistan", so yes the usa has already started a media campaign in her country against pakistan. Pakistan has also come in the us media a lot lately for the wrong reasons. I'd be very scared if i were a pak.

You have a valid point about Pakistani nationalism. However, i disagree on the 'scared' part. Pakistan has kicked British, Indian, and Soviets out of the region. The U.S is the one who is 'scared', because a strong nuclear powered Pakistan is using the Taliban and other militants against U.S military. Attempts have been made many times to denuclearize that country but i doubt it would work now due to Iran's emerging power....

Zia's Islamiation is nothing compared to the radicalisation of our society thanks to this WoT.
Besides, blasphemy laws technically apply to everyone according to law, but in practise, unfortunately, have been used wrongly and have only been pro-Islam

Yup Under Ayub Khan Pakistan was a model for other countries South Korea followed pakistan's model but after the 1965 and 1971 wars took a heavy toll on pakistan economy and land.

Are you sure on that ? radicalization will probably go down when the USA leaves afghanistan.

No more aid as well trade is better Aid kills.

:lol:I don't get it why Pakistanis are against American aid. Pakistan does a lot of textile export business with the west. The west can simply stop doing trade them and pakistan's economy will be hugely affected with no western investments and trade....oh and the lack of foreign currency would simply screw the pakistani rupee. Simply shutting off American aid is nothing but a sentimental move.

Moreover, Pakistan International Airlines was the one who made Emirates Airlines successful. There would be no UAE's role model in the aviation industry if it wasn't for us.

Need I remind you our economy has been "free" since like 1947. Yours on the other hand, "freed" only during the early 1990s

ohh

ok sir i saw how much u understand economics. if urss was free since 1947. so in 65 yrs pakistan's exports are only 25 billion and india will be 500 billion by 2015. wow we did much more in 20 yrs.

What about Zia's Islamazation of Pakistan which went pretty bad ? you know pakistan's economy grew when zia was in power however he destroyed pakistan socially.

Zia's "Islamization" is no more representative of Islam as KKK is of Christianity.

Pakistan needs to completely get rid of it's colonial shackles. We need to replace the British inspired constitution with an Islamic one.
And personally I think we need to end the parliamentary system in favor of a presidential one similar to the one in USA.

Like Imran Khan said, Pakistan needs to become an Islamic welfare state.
That means that our morals will come from Islam and not the west (who are pretty bankrupt in this department to begin with).

I believe USA would shift her eyes towards pakistan after they handle iran in 2016. Trust me USA plans her foreign policy atleast 10 years ahead. You have to see every country is like a big company and foreign policies are like business plans. Any big investment atleast forecasts 5 years ahead, and mega rich businesses plan 15-20 years ahead.

who cares what happened iin past look at future. emirates is the best in world. no one knows pia. lol even air india is phucked.. hehe

pakistan should increase trade with india
