Named Tughril, the frigate and its sister ships are the most powerful surface vessels planned under Pakistan’s naval modernization program, meant to redress a conventional imbalance with India.www.defensenews.com
Wasnt it supposed to be a Pakistan developed missile..?Also known as P282
Only foreigners are saying that It will have CM 401 aka p282 .Wasnt it supposed to be a Pakistan developed missile..?
Wasnt it supposed to be a Pakistan developed missile..?
Why I think so is because:
I am not a foreignerOnly foreigners are saying that It will have CM 401 aka p282 .
No concrete info yet.
The PN's procurement strategy is pretty clearcut. Original solutions, but with COTS. So, as you said, CM-401 + Mods = P282.These are also Pakistani developed, which I think means Pakistani version with some modifications or a renaming to avoid MTCR issues:
I am not a foreigner
hahaha...Or are we going Khomeini on this and say, "economics is for donkeys."
I guess thats the way to go around the MTCR restrictions of 300kmAlso known as P282
Thanks, I didnt realise the cat was out of the bag on zarb. Any idea what harb is?These are also Pakistani developed, which I think means Pakistani version with some modifications or a renaming to avoid MTCR issues:

harbah? Thats a domestic development based off of Babur. Thanks, I didnt realise the cat was out of the bag on zarb. Any idea what harb is?
Well as long as we are developing technical know how if the system doesnt matter how we are getting the system. In this economy thinking we can develop in house solution for everything is simply bonkers. Even if Pakistan can come up with 2-3 in house projects that is more than enough in my opinion. Also there is simply no way to match speed at which technologies are developing in China. The main point is we have and we know how to build it.The PN's procurement strategy is pretty clearcut. Original solutions, but with COTS. So, as you said, CM-401 + Mods = P282.
To a broader point, the Chinese defence industry is like the dream mall for our armed forces. It kills any incentive for domestic development, true, but fortunately, there's some advanced stuff in the works in China. So, Pakistan could end up inducting a lot of new warfare applications (e.g., loitering munitions, swarming drones, directed energy weapons, etc) sooner than most other countries. Unfortunately, even the cutting-edge Chinese stuff will cost money. Can our economy handle it? Or are we going Khomeini on this and say, "economics is for donkeys."

Thankyou...congratulations!
