Pakistan Navy test fire indigenously developed Cruise Missile with anti-ship/land attack capability

The related Navigational Warning came out a couple days ago, didn't post it because lately nothing was being announced.

Ary playing the video it seem the target was on land. This is new thing. The Missile was fired from ship and hit the target on land. The Missile looked like Naval version of Babur

Also the ship was a Missile Boat not a Frigate.
This is not ground-breaking or something. Harbah is Babur-1B/2's Ship-launched version, already tested with a radar seeker.

The Target was on land. Finally at least one thing which I was saying is being done now. We need to increase the Missile Range to 1000 KM. Missile Boats cost a lot less that is why even lot of Missile Boats with 1000 KM range Missiles which can hit targets on land and sea with same accuracy would be night mare for our beloved neighbors.
India already tested Nirbhay 1000 km range. Pak must increase Babur 2 range to 2000 km
Typical fanboyism. Pay your taxes and get all the 1000s of kilometers you want.

Looks like C-602G local version Harba?? If true possible range can be 400km.
Harbah is Babur-1B/2 derivative AShM/LACM. Zarb is C-602 coastal AShM.

@Bilal Khan (Quwa) since you like analyzing picture frames, this video has ample opportunities. Take a look at this frame which clearly shows the missile's shape:

You just gave rajfortyseven enough ammunition to rant for the next entire month on how this missile is fake.

3. The missile shows wings in the terminal phase, whereas the initial firing shows a simple cylinderical missile. This shows the level of sophistication of Pakistani missile program. We have retractable fins which can unfold in-flight. This implies maneuverability of the missile, and possibly the ability to change position based on GPS and mid-flight course correction signals.
Cruise missiles have wings. We have had this since 2005, nothing new.

In an impressive fire power display, Live Weapon Firing was conducted by Pakistan Navy's Fast Attack Craft (Missile), in the North Arabian Sea. The indigenously developed Cruise Missile, has anti-ship missile and Land Attack capability. Vice Admiral Kaleem Shaukat, Vice Chief of the Naval Staff witnessed the live firing onboard Pakistan Navy Ship.
The missile accurately hit its target on land signifying the impressive capabilities of the indigenous missile System. The successful live weapon firing has once again demonstrated the credible fire power of Pakistan Navy and the impeccable level of indigenization in high tech weaponry achieved by Pakistan's defence industry. This is a clear manifestation of Government's resolve to achieve self reliance in this field.
Speaking on this occasion, Vice Chief of the Naval Staff expressed his utmost satisfaction on the operational readiness of Pakistan Navy Fleet and commended the efforts of all those involved in achieving this significant milestone successfully. He emphasized the need to capitalize on indigenous defence capabilities. Vice Chief of the Naval Staff also reaffirmed the resolve of Pakistan Navy to ensure seaward defence and safeguard national maritime interests at all costs. He also appreciated the efforts made by our Engineers and Researchers in making the project a success.

. .
range of our cruise missiles should be above 1000km as indian nirbhay cruise missile can reach Islamabad if launched from india

When will you stop posting stupid messages. What has Nirbhay to do with this ? that missile is even not in production phase. India has yet to conduct a successful test of that missile. It requires multiple successful test first before it get clearance for production. Stop posting about Nirbhay since you don't know anything about it.

. . .
it is wise to anticipate and prepare for future threats ,in future they will produce this missile and also india has larger area than Pakistan so we need cruise missiles with greater ranges than currently we have in our inventory otherwise our deterrence

capabilities will become more limited

Too bad for rajfortyseven. I don't care as long as he doesn't learn the techniques.

Another aspect to be noted is the high alpha trajectory immediately after release. And this is without any wings to generate lift.Correct me if I am wrong, but the high AoA keeps most of the exhaust plume down, helping to minimize the launch signature. Also, this maneuverability means the launch tubes don't need to be gimballed. The missile can simulate any trajectory in the boost phase that would result from movable launch tubes.

What is new in this missile as compared to the previous tests? It can Target land right?

Babur uses liquid fuel during the flight, and there is a weight-size-wingspan-warhead optimal ratio which Babur is tuned at. Increasing range would mean more fuel, which demands a longer/fatter missile which demand high speed or increased wing span, which in return will increase RCS and reduce agility. The only way to improve Babur's range would be to improve fuel efficiency or install a better booster and that will result in small improvements like 10-15% improvement instead of 100-150% improvement.

Consider there is an optimal size for a lion as well. When a lion gets bigger, its weight increases, agility decreases, it needs stronger skeleton to carry more of its own weight, which demands stronger muscles to move those bones and burns more calories moving around. Thus despite increase in size, its hunting ability would drop. That is why you do not see a zebra size lion in nature. They have to be small to be useful for themselves.

There are many ways to extend the range. One way could be wrapping it in an outer body which simply dumps it out at a later stage. But this will require larger tubes and a structural change to the ship. Another option is using the boost phase to go vertical and then convert P.E. to K.E.
