Indian Navy must be doing survey of littoral water, to understand how they can use terrain to avoid detection during war time with Pakistan..

Pakistan should do same? They will destroy us on detection and they will not regret. This is how you treat your enemies. This is the same India whose surface vessels destroyed Karachi port. Countries show weakness because either they are too defensive or coward. In our case, It's too defensive. This is totally unacceptable. First we compromised over Kashmir issue. Now compromising our national security. No navy in the world left enemy submarine unharmed. We left them unharmed 3 times. These same submarines might destroy our frigates in future because what they see is opportunity. Give chance to enemy and get ready to Die.

If we could have let the submarine to carry on its way into Pakistani waters then we had every right to take action. As this enemy have taken holidays from any shape or form of morality and reminds us of Atlantique Incident. If it was our sub and some how ended up in or near to the Indian waters would they have any second thoughts? They even have destroyed civilian boot legging boat and were claiming the boat was on the terrorist mission and latter on the Indian naval official got caught on some dinner party bragging about killing civilians on the boat.

Defensive approach is seen as coward. Defensive approach can save Pakistan but for how long? Enemy will decide another date and it will provoke you again. Armed forces job is to fight and to destroy every threat. reverse is happening in Pakistan. Everyone is showing mercy like we are Somalia.

This is probably Diversion tactic or probably giving clean path to Another submarine. It's disturbing. Compromising on national security! what if same submarine destroy our frigates? Where we will complain? UAE or Saudia? Nobody will help us this time. You fight your wars alone and you should be brave enough. please bring back Musharraf. This is embarrassing.

Just trying to test our combat readiness. Last time they could detect our sub for 30 days. Most of their fleet was moved all the way back to other side bcz they couldnt find our sub.

Did any of you guys noticed the time when this Sub was detected and tracked.
It was close to the Midnight hour, the Indians weren't exactly in the area at that time for Lobster hunting.
And awesome performance by Pak Navy as at night in such vast ocean, its not easy to locate a surface vessel let alone a submerged one.
One can just imagine the psychological hit on the Indian Crew.

Should have baited them in and than captured the sub.

And then Pakistan Navy could have started the tradition of serving Mango Lassi to all captured sailors, seeing that PAF has already claimed exclusive rights to fantastik tea !
We could have returned the sub across the Wagah border also (after letting it have a stop over at Gadani Shipbreaking yard of course )

The point is, forcing your ideology on a country on the other side of the planet is different from countering an internal insurgency.

There are no insurgencies in NATO or America. If you mean controlling an insurgency in a random country 10,000km away then no, no country can do that. Though while NATO forces were in Afghanistan, the Taliban had no power. So NATO can stop a very popular insurgency and occupy a whole country against its will. However, once they are no longer interested in doing so, obviously the insurgency will bounce back.
