What's new

Pakistan Navy Marines

PM can be used to open a new front in south.

Indeed. Pak Marines in conjunction with the Army should be given more operational capabilities. Marines can easily replace Infantry BNs of Army which will also boost defensive and offensive capability of Marines.

I was talking about an amphibious assault of Pakistan Marines from Sir Creek area, not from the Sea. So PN surface elements are not used and PN fighting ability with IN is not affected in any sense.

What would be the strategic gain of Amphibious Assault in this specific Area? How would reserves and supply line would be maintained? What would be the Area of Responsibility?

Further, you know that Pak Marines are basically defensive force. They lack an offensive punch in terms of having amphibious APC, Tanks, Artillery plus support BNs in terms of Engineers, EME, Signals, S&T.

Please read here, which answers part of your question.

I know that i mentioned PM using sea route above, but lately i have seen that PN doesnt give much resources to PM, therefore my assumption now is that PN will not support PM to under take any offensive, rather use it as a defensive force, although PM is trained to conduct any sort of Ops.

The reason for opening a new front here is obvious: Attack before IA launches an amphibious attack sir Creek area and beyond. As for reserves and supply lines, different types of routes are available - sea, marshes, aerial and land- such options are not available elsewhere in Pakistan, which makes this Ops unique.

PA doesn't conduct all offensives and counter-attacks using MBTs, APCs etc but yes artillery is widely used. In any case, a joint Ops should be more feasible since PA cannot traverse through Sir Creek, but PM can and that's the advantage that PM holds. In the absence of artillery howitzers, PA infantry uses mortars, which PM can use also. For Aerial support, PN pilots from PAF's 8th Squadron and 2nd Squadron of PAF could provide sorties. PAF's 19th Squadron in Bholari is not far too.
