Pakistan Navy Frigates & Destroyers Information pool

A spokesman for CSTC was unable to say if the eight FM-90 SAMs (Crotale copy) would be replaced by a larger number of more capable missiles housed in a VLS however. The SAM armament of the current F-22P class frigates is a noted shortcoming of the design.
FM-3000 is the best replacement of FM-90, and they are developed by the same company

Wait and see as we were all expecting that last time a total of F-22P acquired by PN would be 6 but it was 4.

Also, this time we are hoping that PN had made deal with China on Submarines like:
8 SSKs of S-20P class + Additional ones for Block-II versions too
6 Coastal SSK class

The government should have initiated a frigate procurement plan with he first F22P programme

Build 4 then follow on with improved F23P and build 4

Then improve further with F24P and build 4 more

Each iteration is a improvement on the previous class and final configuration has air defence with VLS rather than the blunt point defence that the current F22P provides

That way we would save money learn and improve our situation with 12 x frigates

AZ.
The News people did indicate PN had placed an order for 4 more F22s . Any furhter news or was it just a figment of my imagination.

Why are you guys posting ships(C28A) for the Algerian Navy?

Also ESSM+MK48 VLS has some sensitive US tech in it, and you know what that means... don't think under the current situation, Uncle Sam is generous enough to relinquish that from his current generation missile stockfile

Because, the C28A is a direct derivative of the F22P. And hence indicative of how F22P block 2 could evolve. There is no reason why it could not mount e.g. VL Umkhonto, or CAMM/Sea Ceptor, or VT-1 in a French Sylver VLS, if US ESSM/Mk48 or ESSM/Mk41 isn't feasible..

Will Algeria going to refuse their frigate which Pakistan might buy? Or what's on table for PN other the 8 S-20Ps.

Agreed but these should be no lessar than 5000 ton and with latest radars sonars what china has bring it on the frigates

We lack few destroyers 4 will make PN more powerfull with them our marines also can be on board with these bigger ships

All it takes is one or two six- or eight-cell VLU and
a) a missile with an all-weather active RF seeker (50km Sea Ceptor / CAMM-ER) or
b) a missile with an IIRH homing head (e.g. the 40km IRIS-T SLM)
which require no trackers/illuminators.
Preferably quadpacked but a minimum of 12 to 16 missile from 2 VLUs will also work.
For the semiactive radar homing ESSM one would need Ceamount or APAR.

The pair of 30mm gatlings can easily be swapped for a single RAM-style SAM launcher (or even 2)

Incidentally, note the rocketlaunchers atop the hangar: these appear combined ASW rocket and decoy launchers

This plus 1 Mk41 + 32 ESSM ;-)

Lockheed Martin is concluding production of its 3-Cell ExLS Stand Alone Launcher designed to fire MBDA’s Common Anti-air Modular Missile (CAMM) in October and, following qualification testing in mid-2016, will be available for use by Allied Navies around the Globe.

In case anybody is thinking of an improved F-22P, this makes for 12 CAMM/Sea Cepter all-weather active radar homing missiles in a very compact little package.... Two of these hold 24 missiles and have a smaller footprint than a single MK41. F22P could easily accommodate at least one 3-cell set forward of the bridge, and probably two (of not four). Other viable locations: between the AShM or integrated into the forward part of the hangar on both beams.

  • High rate of fire against multiple simultaneous targets
  • Soft vertical launch technology for minimum launch signature and high performance
  • Vertical launch enabling 360° coverage in all launch sectors
  • Compatible with any surveillance sensor for targeting ( < no need for illuminator / missile director)
  • Wide air target set plus the ability to engage small naval craft
  • All-weather active RF seeker
  • Two way data link between the missile and launcher
  • Designed for third party targeting ( < cooperative engagement!)
  • Minimal logistics support and maintenance required

When 4 more F-22P Block-IIs are coming?

So we can consider the deal might be scrapped and no ship till 2020 and above :)

I think It's better for PN to make a up a deal with KSA to buy there 4 Friagtes for FREE. Or may be if ME supports then buy 13 UK Frigates with upgrades but they should scrap the Type-21s.
