America doesn't need f16 to influence Pakistan. An American visa is more than enough for it.

Nope,

A unit cost for F-16 Blk 52 is $ 34 Million. Pakistan was paying $ 700 million for 8 aircrafts .. that is 87.5$ per plane.

So what is extra $53.5 million for ? These are for spares , engines etc.

Now J-10C cost $30 Million per unit. But J-10 is a new aircraft where as F-16 is a fully integrated aircraft that has been service for 35 years in, No pilot or crew training required, no bases with overhauling equipment required.

A similar deal for J 10, will at least cost twice as much as F-16 to integrate in PAF.

Sooner or later ...the doors of US weapons are gonna shut on Pak...so we should act now...it's a golden opportunity for us..if we delay it...we will need to spend more money in future than now...plus....we can have more numbers of J10C...and no sanctions..and can arm them according to our will....all these benefits..worth double the cost...!!!.

Very little attention? Bro, there is no coverage at all. This is a 800 million dollar defence deal which is a not even a drop in the bucket for the Americans. Even by Pakistani defense budget this deal is insignificant . You got 25 billion dollars in the forex reserves. PAF can buy these birds outright if wanted to.

And to say that a strong U.S presidential candidate risks loosing the election over this insignificant of a deal is new height of stupidity.

Just to get 1 squad is not worth time or money best option is get more used f16s upgrade them to block50 and step on in thunder program and instead of just keeping a low tech modern bird put some cash in it use hi tech goodies on it while saving some cash which than can be used on chinese bird where you will have money and time. He has not said that PAF will get F 16 from else where

Did the content of the Dawn article change or has the OP entered false info at the beginning of the article. Aziz I believe is saying that Pakistan will opt for other jets (i.e. look to China and Russia) if the US refuses to provide coalition aid to subsidize the F-16 purchase.



Personally dont see anything wrong with this at all. Blackmailing is the norm in international diplomacy. The Americans are the masters at it.
