Pakistan May Speed AF Procurements Despite Economy

lol..... an article by Usman Shabir from pakdef quoting some professor in a college. hahaha!!
Pakistani jingos are literally clutching at straws. Pathetic.

This is what you get when you fight America's war without thinking, and destroy your own economy in the process.
Fly your 49 odd JF-17s for decades! that's all you're going to get.

. .
Instead of J-10B PAF might be looking in to some J-31s...

J-21/31 is yet a very immature product. It will be atleast 2020 by the time you can actually
consider buying it.

FC-20 is the only plane that is available, can hold it's own, and is reasonably priced. You can
buy J-10A if you want more squadrons quickly, but I feel you shouldn't waste money on
anything except FC-20 now.

You need to buy atleast 36 at the initial phase. It's inevitable, you have to.

And then, if more money becomes available, slowly increase the order.

.
Within 2 decades, PAF will become like the PN, outmatched, outgunned and outnumbered. And only their Army will be of any significant importance.

If PAF becomes like PN, then PA will be hopeless because without
good AF support, no Army in the world can hold it's own.

Really now we are thinking that if we had spend some money of Mirage-2000 like 10% partner in it then we may have produced about 150-200 of them for PAF and will really helped us other than JF-17 Program.

I don't look at the title of thread, I look at the contents of the thread.

All the title says is "Pak may speed AF procurements despite economy". But there is no evidence of
any "speed up" or "increase" in PAF's procurements if you look closely at the contents of the OP.

JF-17 numbers are going down, progress on FC-20 is yet to begin, and what exact procurement
has been speeded up I don't know. Please contribute to my knowledge by telling me.

First of all, you need to stop getting carried away by media reports. Pay attention instead, to the
actual procurement process that your Air Force is taking.

As of me, I am yet a minor and all in do is go to college, do my homework (which I've completed 3 hrs ago)
and go to hang out with friends. When I'm free, I get down to PDF or IDF to see the latest defense updates
and share my knowledge or gain knowledge from other's.

By basic interests lie in defence and politics. I have some close friends/friends' fathers in a local
pro-development, pro-democracy political party and I plan to join that party when the time is right,
whilst doing a job at one hand to gain enough know-how to start a hardware business that I'm
planning.

I hope you have enough information regarding my activities and plans.

But what baffles me is, how does that affect IAF's or PAF's procurement process? Let's get real
and let's get healthy. What does it concern you if I'm employed or unemployed? That I am a
Hindu or a Muslim? Let's not deviate the topic Mr. Elite Member.

My friend let me remind you that unlike some other air forces, PAF is very secretive on how it goes about doing it's business, hence you will always hear about it's missions, acquirements and purchases after they have either concluded or inducted.
Let me give you a few examples, albeit it's an open secret but no image of a PAF JFT armed with SD-10 have been released, similarly third JF squadron hasn't been officially declared, although PAF's exercise Saffron Bandit which was reported when it initiated earlier in the year to the surprise of many, only concluded just last week, similarly when a few years earlier, PLAAF was in Pakistan for a joint exercise, no details on the Chinese equipment were released until some weeks after when it became apparent that Chinese had brought their SU-27s....still number participating hasn't been revealed.
As for FC-20 is concerned, a couple of year earlier i posted the news with courtesy of Alan Warnes that presently PAF has it's hands full with the JFT and there's no immediate prospect of introducing another platform, besides in it's current form, FC-20 is reported not to be up to PAF's specific requirements, some rumours suggest that PAF is looking beyond this fighter jet.
Last week, PAF directorate of media affairs was busy visiting different air bases, may be it was due to the conclusion of SB-13 or some other pending news.

^^And how would any of this be related to the topic at hand?

Still, if this is how you want to sign off this little debate we just had, it's okay with me.

Let me know once you have something credible to back up your comments.

You should buy a Parrot and take a prominent position at India gate, there'll be lot of Indians falling for your predictions.

Yet if some Pakistan analyst gives off such "predictions" about Indian military, you guys
seem to jump with joy.

I don't see PAF going to become anything except another PN vis-à-vis IN story.

Well, i'll leave you to post all the data on AESA and BVR etc........I'm not here to make predictions or make judgements, it's good to draw conclusions without the cherry picking.

The magic word is ANALYST......hope you know the difference between that and armchair general or even an internet warrior.
Do continue with the chest thumping and demeaning efforts.....after all it's far from the truth and doesn't change reality.

Looks like you are not aware of the fact that most "analysts" out there are in fact armchair generals or
internet warriors, and it are the publications of these generals that mostly make it to the public
domain.
@Windjammer

Btw, can you tell me where I should apply for a username change?

I want the g in my name to be an uppercase alphabet.

Twisting facts. This is very unbecoming of a "JT TT".

You do realize that you don't have to put ^^^^ everytime?

That's what the 'Reply with Quote' button is for.

ON topic,

PAF is just doing fine. As economy catches up so will PAF. Think this way.....PAF doesn't have funding but it has all it needs from China. Which means, if PAF gets funding, it can order j-10s or j-31s tomorrow. which is unlike IAF where DESPITE having the funding, they still haven't signed the MMRCA, which we have been hype-fully hearing for the past 4 years.
