What's new

Pakistan may not buy the Chinese VT-4, but the cheaper Ukraine's T-84M or the Russian T-90S tank

There is no tanks can run at 100kmph,VT-4 is at 70 km/h (43 mph) at maximum.
You are day dreaming dude!

@tps77 @Mentee

You guys remember the learning curve on PDF which i was mentioning to you ?
This guy who quoted me, thinks mobility is driving a tank at 100 kmph. Amazing, right :-) ? i hope i have made my point clear through the example of this guy.
And there was that guy in Indian S-400 thread who couldn't figure out a simple range with easy hints and trashed theory on which knowledge is based.

Really grateful to have people like Joe Shearer, Gambit, Denel, Dazzler etc who can actually impart some knowledge here.

To each his own. For some posters it's a matter of pride to never admit the shortcomings of anything related to their country of origin. Like in the case of many Pakistani posters in ko btao k ap ki yeh cheez is not at par with un ki yeh cheez ya what must be done to be on the safe side - - - - - - - doraa par jaata hai :taz::welcome:

Though a more friendly tone would be more pleasing to the ears, I appreciate the opportunity to go deeper into geopolitics, if you are interested. Though I never hope that in reality relations would get to such a point.

That is why there is a route from China through Myanmar in the making, also directly accessing the Indian Ocean. Western China may suffer a bit through that time period (higher costs) but trade can be diverted towards Kazakhstan-Russia-EU corridor, other portions of trade can travel a bit further to coastal China or Myanmar. Ukraine is proposing a new route from the Black Sea to Caspian to Central Asia to China. This is not China's doing, it's because Ukraine wants to bypass Russia, countries want to access China's market out of their own will. One route closes, another one sees greater attention.

Maybe, China would be compelled to use Chabahar through the Central Asian route in that situation. It will enable the similar access as CPEC. Once Pakistan antagonizes China, India would find a good opportunity to take advantage, China doesn't have to do much in that case.

If Pakistan severs CPEC, many projects would go unprofitable due to lack of trade and investment from China and associated effects. Iran would take advantage of this situation to promote Chabahar route along with Indian backing to eventually break free from sanctions. Gulf States' investment would follow into the route instead of to Pakistan. Due to being cut off from CPEC, China would be compelled to move the off-shored industry and investment somewhere else but preferably nearby, thus Chabahar. This fully opens up Afghanistan and the rest of Central Asia for Indian movement. China seeing the threat turns this into an opportunity through a deepening relationship with India to avoid US forces and proxies encircling China. Afghanistan seeing the opportunity fully antagonizes Pakistan to seek benefits from India. Afghanistan used to be a well off placed when it traded on the silk road, they will want their past glory again (MAGA). Now the landscape is that Pakistan is surrounded by more powerful enemies and countries that don't want to engage with it, investment will not follow all self induced. Though in this situation, the US might have an easier time deepening relations with Pakistan to further Eurasian geopolitical games but under new terms. Destroying/cutting CPEC in my opinion is destroying a major life line for Pakistan and what all its enemies want to see happen because it furthers so many other moves. It would be especially a god send for the enemies of Pakistan if it was self induced.

You see we dont own Chabhar, sole purpose of Chabhar is to bypass Pakistan and have new Traderoute to Central Asia, Russia and Eueope.

We don't care who uses it as long as we get the access to that port.

Also your map is off in one place, there is an alternative rought in N-S c. Connecting Russia to Chabhar via Azerbaijan and chabhar to Kandla, a port in my own state Gujarat.

I have visited Kandla many times and people are working really hard to expand the port and capacity for Chabhar related projects.

not only we will loose Pakistan tank market, we will face a new competitor within 10 years.

Alongside Iran.

It willbe 1990s all over again

India was bled.white by Russians in many military deals, that nenver happen on china-pak relationship.
for.those think Russians are angels, your expectation might fall out. overall, Chinese is not that aggressive and fuss about. we value friendship and mutual respect.

Hardly true.

Russians are the reason we control the kashmir today, with all their Vetos since 1050s for India in un.

They are the reason we have Nukes, long range missiles, Space programme, military technology, Air craft carrier and Tot of almost everythingthat russia sold us (80% of our military stuff) starting from Nuclear submarine to Su-30mki.

Even theor contribution in 1971 war , redyness to protect india jn case of us 7th fleet aggration , stopping you from interfering in all wars against pakistan and keeping Indian interest alive even after 70+ years shows how close we are today.

Even their S-400s will protect our cities now like previousrussian made syztems.

We own A big time to Russia for all their support to our country amd keeping our interest alive in UN as well as other world organizations.

Yeah U were right .
We can have differences but thinking and writing without a brain is different thing .
Instead of admitting shortcomings they throw shitty explanations and that's also a case with pakistanis as well.
Btw u missed a guy @Khafee :partay:

.
no decision has been taken yet so i request chinese brothers to calm down we may headed to vt4 u never know
and pakistan has requirements of 1000 tanks so its 2 tenders one is related to AK2 which ukrainian engine and stuff is being considered
