Yes the same thing was said in regards to the US and look what happened, there are only converging interests, no 'iron brother'. Look back at 27th feb or other conflicts and you see China giving out statements of restraint rather than support, seems like deja vu all over again. An alliance is built upon respect of each other, once both sides can do that can it only flourish properly and be called 'brotherhood' which is exceedingly rare these days. China could care less about India and even less if they threaten Pakistan, unless it threatens their interests which they see it doing hence the schism between each other last year and ongoing. It will deescalate eventually, hell even during it all there were calls to 'hug it out' by both sides if you filter out the rhetoric.

You want to know what really is sad? Despite the incessant pumping of resources to the subjugation of Pakistan into the Indian sphere it still stands tall and is able to make you a country of 1 Billion and growing to pull out your hairs. I think it is less of the India centric psyche (though it exists) but rather the Pakistani centric psyche of your nation which has been exposed through recent China-Indian tensions. So much so that now you realise that you need to devote 2 corps up north rather than the smaller neighbour to the west.
