The Bengali community is settled mainly in Karachi. Of them, majority had chosen to stay in Pakistan after 1971 Liberation War of Bangladesh

The Parliamentary Committee on the National Reverification Programme (NRVP) recommended that the constitutional be amended to grant citizenship to Bengalis, the Daily Pakistan reported quoting the Samaa TV.

According to the report, the amendments will be made in the Pakistan Citizens Act, paving the way for issuance of CNICs to nearly 2.8 million members of Pakistani’s Bengali community, of which 1.5 million are living in Karachi.

The committee also discussed the issue of more than 100,000 blocked CNICs.

Bengalis who are scattered in about 105 settlements across Karachi, demand to be recognized as Pakistanis.

This is a good news and also we should not forget those Pakistanis who are living in camps in bangladesh as refugees ..

We have a thread running.

No need to post again and again.

They can't control their excitement and have to let the world know. In earlier times this invasion would be understood as an act of war.

All they do is gloat.

Somehow now it's national pride for bangdshiz that we naturalized some 2.8 million alleged east Pakistanis.

The more they highlight this now the more the problems for them.

This is some sort of economic act of war but Pakistanis just have a big heart and very narrow pockets.

If Pakistan was not based on Islamic principles. These would be called leeches here as well.

Strange irony in all of this.

It's very "camp of the saints". They are literally offloading their overpopulated masses onto the rest of us.

The problems are of our own making to be brutally honest.

But we have done damage control with 2.8 million. Some Rohingyas included.

You guys gave them a province and a chief minister.

Bangladesh GDP is higher than Pakistan at this time AFAIK.

Maybe Pakistani tech professionals could consider Bangladesh and replace some of the Indians.
