You are right. It will if India attacks now. But the factor why Pakistan's ability to take the war to India stopped is still not over.

The same reasons/factors are continuing.

As it is the people of Pakistan have started questioning why such an enormous amount of annual budget is given to PA. India is still growing much faster than Pakistan. If this current trend continues - say for another decade, India will find yet more money to spend while Pakistan will not. Then the current power disparity will widen even more.

Pakistan only spends around 4.5 billion on the military, which is quite small when compared to other countries like Iran which spends 10 billion.

On top of that, atleast a 1 billion is syphoned away by corrupt generals into their pet projects, personal detail and other non-military expenditures.

Pakistan needs to increase its military budget to 10 billion and streamline the expenditures so it will increase the teeth to tail ratio of its armed forces.

Pakistan can raise a lethal army if they do that and give India headaches for decades.

See that is exactly the point i made. Till the time India keeps growing faster than Pakistan, our military budget grows faster than Pakistan's, there will come a point, when the current balance of forces will change further to India's favour.

Just like it happened, how earlier, Pakistan could be the on the offensive and India defensive. The continuous spending on our military has changed that.

Today Pakistan cannot be on the offensive, India will, but India will pay a heavy price. This is the current balance. It is more in India's favour, whereas earlier, it was not so. And it will change to India's favour more in the future if the current trend continues.

Pakistan does a smart buy most of the times - spends less money for more bang - India on the other hand links up defense purchases with Geo politics and international relations plus is too lethargic, corruption plays a major part and anybody filing a PIl or releasing a statement doubting a particular buy then that order gets delayed by a few years.

I would say Pakistan's defense procurement's are far more streamlined than India's.

Oh dont be angry at facts...Although your Airforce is going somewhere with new acquisitions of fighter aircrafts (and that too after 2017) but not the IA.. The problem is getting new equipments for 1.2 million army..Very expensive and very time consuming as indian army imports most of the stuff..All these has been stated by Indian army chief...

absolutely right you are but that doesn't mean IA uses equipment from 1960s as stated by your countrymen.....
also this is a common misconception that IA "imports" most of the stuff..a few tanks,guns,missiles,drones,helos etc doesn't make up the bulk.The C4I systems,different radars,missiles(tactical & strategic),EW systems,mines,different types of vehicles for different purposes,NVDs,majority of light firearms etc are build indegenously by india or DRDO
