The Afghan economy is hugely dependent on the Pakistani economy, most of their fresh fruit, meat, rice, atta, most of their goods come from Pakistan, in fact the Pakistani rupee is used as the reserve currency for much of Afghanistan.

History, geography, adult franchise, and ethnicity suggest Pakistan will have the most influence of any neighbor, also considering the largest diaspora community of Afghans also live in Pakistan.

Nato isn't going anywhere for the time being. and we are doing our best to make Afghans self reliant in their security. It is rather unfortunate to see some pakistanis cheering for taliban with a complete disregard to afghan civilians.

if our forces are attacked it will give us a reason to send even more forces. basically creating a base ther. not good for pak.

anyways we are now rebuilding afghan railways and also most of the transmission lines in afghan. so to protect engineers we need more army.

I have a doubt ... Who is calling all these policies in pakistan ? I dont think it is the govt .. May be the army ! Or isi !
But these policies are proved to be hopeless and detrimental to the national development and psyche ..
You cant expect a soldier who is trained to fight in battle field to do the foreign affairs ..
If you want to construct a beautiful structure you better be allow an architect to work for it .. If you give reins to a ammo maker your beautiful structure may look like a gun or a bomb in the end
