Pakistan is the 4th most likely country in the world to default in 2022

The good thing that I am seeing these days is Pakistanis are calling a spade a spade. Army is not longer holy cow of Pakistan and is being openly questioned. That I have never seen in past. This suggests me that things will eventually change. Things don't change when no one questions. This power grabbing might prove to be the last triumph of hyper-corrupt families and generals.

Don't worry. We have the best administrator in human history now. He would sell his clothes but won't let Pakistan default

He apparently wakes up at 5 and starts work at 7!

And then you have Bajwa, a man who prays 5x a day plus Tahajjud. Never listened to a Bollywood song in his life

With capable custodians like these, who can harm Pakistan?!

Surprised to see the oil rich Bahrain on this list. They have 115% debt to GDP. What could have possibly borrowed so much money for? :-/

"The 2021-2022 budget included some reforms, such as reducing electricity and water subsidies and trimming operating expenses like administration and procurement costs. Spending in 1H21 has been restrained, falling by 4% yoy. The rebound in oil prices has meanwhile helped to lift budget revenue by 23% yoy in 1H21."

"The original FBP paved the way for a commitment from Bahrain’s Gulf partners (Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and the UAE) to provide USD10 billion in support loans over 2019-2023. We believe a VAT increase would help to ensure ongoing support from the current financial package, while a broader reboot of the FBP would facilitate further Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) support beyond 2023, in line with our assumptions when we affirmed Bahrain’s Long-Term Foreign-Currency Issuer Default Rating at 'B+', with a Stable Outlook, in April 2021."

I guess as is the case with most Sheikhdoms, the subsidies probably play a large part in the debt figures and coupled with the Pandemic, they negatively impacted coffers.

A failed country with failed criminals leading the nation. This bitch should by all means follow up on her promise of arresting Imran Khan. Be rest assured. Nothing will be left of Pakistan.
Only in Pakistan people show up at a political rally to listen to a convicted criminal running her own shadow **** industry.

Banda lawe enu lamma te 🤬

Pron league supporters facilitating Pakistans own onlyfans.

Due to effects of Arab spring and the resulting uprising, business slowdown as a result of subsidies being withdrawn and Covid related expenses and business slowdown

Acquiring loans to pay off loans is a sure recipe for default. It's just a ticking time bomb.
People probably don’t even know the national debt is 87.3% of GDP or $336 Billion. While the nation only thinking about the few billion sought from the IMF, the perpetual debt payments eat up so much of the potential development in the country, with no plan to slow if not reverse the debt situation.

We should develop our economy with our own help. Not China or any other country for that matter.
Yes but China can help us industrialize Pakistan.

The textiles industry is the biggest one.

We are only $350 billion Dollars at Nominal GDP.

We need to build Universities, vocational colleges, community colleges that promote education in the academic disciplines (social sciences, hard sciences), practical skills, etc.

We need to build Pakistan, so that Pakistan has independent foreign policy.

We need to manufacture products.

They have to reduce their spending on defense.
The Stockholm International Peace Research Institute, a Sweden-based think think, found that Pakistan’s military-related expenditures for 2021 came to $11.3 billion.
